I truly can't say enough good things about this rental experiece! The house was a beautiful Heritage Home with many updates but the character of the home was still intact. It was extremely clean and offered all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect as we were a 10-minute walk to the downtown strip and a 15 minute walk to the beach. there are many hiking trails in the area. when we arrived we were greeted with a basket of fresh local strawberries and a bottle of wine. I highly recommend this vacation home!

Quite nice two story apartment
My wife and I stayed for a month in July, 2015 along with our miniature poodle. We had a couple of guest stay for one or two nights as well. The apartment was spacious and clean. It was a 10 minute walk from the main street of Kincardine on a lovely, treed lot with plenty of shade int he summer. There was a barbeque and a table and chairs outside for enjoying the weather. Despite the lack of AC, we really were not hot during the day due to the shade trees surrounding the house. Upstairs got a bit warm on some days, but cooled down nicely in the evening. We brought a couple of small fans to promote cooling once the sun went down. We plan on staying there again in the future - maybe for even longer!

This apartment was clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. Although it lacks some of the privacy and convenience of a beach-front cottage it's a short walk from the beach, shopping, and Kincardine's extensive hiking trail network. The main bedroom is huge and well-furnished, but the second bedroom is tiny and lacks a dresser or closet, so we wouldn't recommend this rental for 4 adults (3 adults, or a couple with 2 children would be fine). There is a well-equipped kitchen as well as a private patio with barbecue. During the summer months you'll probably want to bring an electric fan as none were provided and there's no A/C. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and found it worth the money.

The cottage is located 1.3 km (a short drive) to Station Beach - Kincardine's main public beach. It has sandy shores and gradual entry into the water with great swimming for all ages.
