My wife and I (me 72, her closing in) rented this apartment for two weeks starting at the end of March, 2016. This apartment is more than excellent for independent, self-motivated travelers. The apartment is huge, comes complete with a large living room, dining room, two bedrooms, large bathroom, plenty of heat and hot water, good size bath and kitchen, solidly equipped kitchen (nice change for us, as we had been on the road in Europe for five weeks up to that point), solid internet, and very quiet. (Just be aware, like most Amsterdam buildings steep stars going up -- 36 in all.) The location cannot be beat in the fascinating Pijp neighborhood: markets, bakeries, restaurants, trams, are all around, and only a 15 minute walk to the MuseumPlein or Heineken Experience. If you stay here, make a point of an early evening drink on nearby Franz Hals street --- greet local pubs and restaurants and people watching spots. The owner of this apartment was professional and prepared for our arrival (can't always take this for granted). We recommend this apartment without reservations.
This is an excellent apartment and wonderful place to stay. The apartment was clean upon arrival and had all amenities necessary. The location was spectacular with a tram stop right outside the front door and the Albert Cuyp Market only a few short blocks away. Economical and fine dining restaurants were merely blocks away. Within steps of the door you have shopping, bakery, wine, grocery store, restaurants, this was absolutely a fabulous place to stay, we enjoyed ourselves immensely, and we will be returning.
I highly recommend
We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Branko is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. Fantastic location with a supermarket right up the street, tram stop right outside of the door, and several excellent bakeries and restaurants around the corner. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Just beware there is a very steep set of steps to climb to the apartment. If you are at all disabled this is not the place for you. Great little deck off the kitchen and living room area but since it was December we just walked out and looked around.
The apartment is as described in previous reviews, and as shown in the pictures. Cosy, comfortable and bright, but with more than enough space for our group of three - we stayed for seven nights. The location is good, in a busy but attractive part of Amsterdam just outside the centre - a short tram ride in to the middle (there is a tram stop directly outside the front door!) or else it is not far at all to bike. After the first day we rented bikes, which is such a great way to experience Amsterdam! There are steep stairs up to the apartment, but that did not bother us in the slightest - it's only on the second floor anyway, and steep, narrow staircases are all part of the Amsterdam experience.
The thing that really stood out in our experience of renting this apartment was the considerate and attentive service of our awesome host, Branko! Although we never met him in person (as he was out of Amsterdam at the time) he promptly responded to all our needs with great personal service. We arrived in Amsterdam following 24+ hours of long-haul travel from New Zealand feeling very tired and keen to relax - Branko ensured that his friend Matej was waiting at the apartment to meet us, show us around and give us the keys. Our only small problem during our entire stay was with the wi-fi internet initially not working so well - when we emailed him about this he quickly responded letting us know how to fix the problem, and letting us know about an alternative wifi network we could use (especially for when you are trying to use internet in the lounge area) and we never had another problem with it throughout our stay. We decided to add an extra night to our stay - this was no problem, he arranged for Matej (who is also very friendly and welcoming!) to come over at a time convenient for us and pick up the fee for the extra night. Near the end of the trip one of our party lost one of the two sets of keys. We assumed we would have to pay for the replacement set, but Branko wasn't having a bar of it - he replaced them free of charge!
Overall this was a fantastic experience, and I must say it is rare to have such a considerate host as Branko. I would recommend his apartment to anyone, and will surely stay here again next time that I am in Amsterdam!

This bright, quiet and airy apartment was exactly as described by other travelers and shown in photos. The owner was easy to reach by email, very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal - walking distance to museums and the Albert Cuyp outdoor market as well as near several good restaurants. The corner tram takes you to the train station. Excellent value for the price. Our Dutch friends who stopped by were impressed by the location and size. We'll be back!
For a comfortable apartment with an authentic Dutch feel and everything you need provided in a very convenient location, this apartment is excellent value. The host is friendly and obliging from first contact through to arrival and departure. This apartment allows you to enjoy the experience of a typical Amsterdam apartment - including the steep, narrow stairs (mentioned by some reviewers) and the genuine Dutch toilet! (Such stairs are the norm in Amsterdam and don't worry, they are easily manageable). The apartment is exactly as described and the photos are a true representation of what you will find on arrival. A computer with internet access and wi-fi are provided at no cost, both rare in holiday apartments. Within easy walking distance are Vondelpark, Museumplein, Leidseplein, Rembrandtplein, Centrum and the Canal Ring. On the corner are stops for several tram routes towards Centraalstation, Amsterdam South and across town. The apartment is in the middle of the de Pijp neighbourhood with excellent local shops around the corner and the Albert Cuypmarkt only a few minutes away. The writer is a return customer with this host, who never fails to warmly welcome you to his clean and well-maintained apartment. This is not the most glamorous apartment in Amsterdam and it has some little quirks but it lacks for nothing, is very well-placed and absolutely reasonably priced (especially as it has two separate bedrooms). In over twenty years of visiting Amsterdam, I have not found a better value apartment.
Great location, nearby Albert Cuyp Market and Heineken museum,10 minutes walking distance to center(Leidse square, Rembrand square), surrounded with many shops, market, restaurants, but peaceful at night!
