There was no damage whatsoever from hurricane Sandy, we are so thankful. Hear the waves crashing on the beach from this large home that meets all requirements for a vacation at the shore. This home has 6 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and one half bath plus an outdoor shower and includes 2 fireplaces,a Finnish sauna and plenty of space for large and extended families. Great top floor dormitory style bedroom for the kids or grand kids, or cousins, also second floor deck with furniture. There are also 4 inflatable super comfortable queen size mattresses that are 18 and one half inches high with built in pilllows with a built in electric motor pump for easy inflation. Also there is a Finnish sauna to use in the master bathroom. Often the large family room is used for sleeping with the fold down futon sofas and the living room sofa is also very comfortable for sleeping. There is a large new gas grill outside the kitchen and flower gardens aroud the house. there is a new wash machine, a new large side by side refrigerator, and a new dishwasher, and a new central air conditioner compressor for the second floor zone. There is a second floor deck with lounge chairs on the second floor off from the master bedroom with great views of the ocean and beach.
There is a lovely wrap around porch for relaxing with 3 person swing, rocking chairs, wicker furniture, lounge chairs and adequate seating to rest from beach and eat, seating 30 people and plenty of parking for everyone, outdoor shower, very large modern washed oak kitchen [costing over $100,000] with large island and matching large kitchen table and 8 chairs and three hanging lights, tile mural of ocean scene and etched glass cabinets, and some of the cabinets pull out for easy access to the contents, large family room with cable TV and sofas, dining room with extending table, new carpeting in living room, dining room, stairway, and upstairs hallway, Also there is high speed internet to use. Also there are some original paintings hanging on the walls, and some lighthouse pictures in the large family and TV room that some people like to relax and sleep in. There are red and pink rose bushes that flower frequently in the back and side yard that guests are welcome to cut anytime and put in a vase with water, it actually helps the rose bush grow and produce more by pruning. Also there are butterfly bushes with beautiful smells and pink and purple puffball bushes that you are free to cut.. often there are butterflies landing and feeding on the butterfly bushes, also this is on the butterfly flyway from Canada to Mexico, sometimes in the spring, summer, and fall in the bird sanctuaries in Cape May, there are 600,000 butterflies at a time going up in a huge cylinder together and over the Delaware Bay to Delaware together in a huge group migration, We recommend coming to preview this property to be sure it will meet your family's requirements.

This house is so big, we had about 25 people and it was not one bit crowded. We needed something big enough for our entire family to host a pre-Thanksgiving dinner and this was perfect. Great location,,,we had a great time. And the owner is a very nice gentleman to deal with.
We took our 4 married children and 13 grandchildren and had a great time. We stayed 5 days and were never bored. We had one day on the beach before the big storms in the end of Sept - beginning of Oct but our adventurous crew would go out on the beach even after dark and experience the wind, waves and beauty! The beach is perfect in that it has those "lakes" in the sand back off the ocean which were a great playground even for the teenagers after they played themselves out on the waves. We did many other wildwood things like the zoo, water park, biking, crabbing and sight seeing. But inside there was ample room and table space for games and "homework" as some of them are homeschooled. So that means the wifi etc all worked fine. We did not use the TV hardly at all but it worked fine. The kitchen was ample and we had all the gadgets we needed. We cooked every meal and did not eat out. All the appliances worked fine and the washer and dryer worked fine. We really appreciated the ample hot water. It even had hot water in the outside shower which encouraged everyone to really rinse off before they came inside. We had no trouble with the things mentioned in the last review. Everything was fixed except maybe some of the holes which I did not even notice. Yes the house is older but the price is so affordable that we did not expect it to be all new. And the owner was very available and checked with us by phone several times to be sure all was well. With tons of rain there were no leaks or musty smells. Thanks for a great family time!! PS this is not associated with the other review from Lancaster. We do not know whose that was.
owner never gave us address number of property just across the street from Reges hotel. Now we know why (Google it). Large home but very dated, mold on ceiling, air vents covered with thick dust, fans covered in dust, 2 bedroom had no privacy curtains just sheers so we had to place sheets over them when lights were on, dorm room was not what was pictured wallpaper falling off of walls as glue no longer holding it up, holes in bathroom walls, no toilet lid on upstairs bathroom, no gas grill, washer that leaked, backyard full of tall weeds and weeds In between patio blocks so unable to use unable to use front door as not connected to frame of home and opened it once and took forever to lock again that once locked never opened it again. . Was close to beach and front porch was nice to sit out on but furniture old and stained. Owner did say sorry that there was no gas grill and forgot to tell us washer did not work, Had to put a stop on my security deposit as he never sent it back to me after asking 4 times. Will never rent this place again
This house was very roomy. We had a family of 23, all ages, and had no problem sleeping everyone. The porch was great. There was plenty of room with the 2 living room areas. Very close to the beach, walking was not an issue. It also had a great kitchen. We would definitely rent again.
This house was even a bit big for our 6 families. With 14 kids this house was perfect! We had everything....with so many people renting during the year.....alot of very practicable items are left behind for future use. The house had everything. The owner is by far one of the most available and gracious people you will deal with. Being a 3 minute walk to the ocean (not beach)... is so convenient if you need to go back to the house for food, sunscreen or just use the bathroom ....especially with young kids! Situated in the prettiest and safest area of Wildwood we really enjoyed or stay.....we had cable (small kids) ....and internet (older kids and parents)....Funny thing....we spent much time outside on the amazing porch....were all the adults would meet later in the evening after putting the kids to bed. Great moments we will cherish !
