Welcome to La K'zonA the chalet on the lakeshore of Lake Atitlan a crater lake in Guatemala. We would love to host your holiday, retreat, workshop, event and/or gatherings. La K'zonA is a beautiful A-frame cabin that comfortably sleeps up to 14 people. This spacious and relaxing sanctuary is the perfect place to unfold and connect to your life's path and purpose. The vast A-frame ceiling with wooden fixtures and the large living room with fireplace allow creativity to thrive and flow. There is no limit on how this space can be used for your purpose.
The house is on the southern shore of Lake Atitlan near Cerro de Oro and features lake access and view, large well stocked kitchen and dining room, a juice/tea bar, swinging bed in master bedroom, two large full bathrooms, playroom, waterslide, childrens pool, 13 beds, and is located near many outdoor activities - hikes to Cerro de Oro and Iquetu (the last old growth forest in the lake basin) are highly recommended. Amps and a projector are available for those who would like to liven the place up with music and/or video. Take out our kayak and rowboat to enjoy the waters of this deep crater lake.
At La K'zonA we strive to live in harmony with nature and have implemented measures and techniques that help us do so, please help by doing your part! The grey water is processed in a banana circle which provides us with bananas, papayas and in the future coconuts for our table. We also compost all our kitchen and yard waste into soil for our flower, food, herbal and medicinal gardens.
We remember that food is medicine at La K'zonA. The space can be rented with access to the kitchen for you to prepare your own meals (we can provide fresh local organic produce and well sourced meat and diary) or we can fully cater your event - from juice fasts/cleanses to vegan, vegetarian, glutten-free and with well sourced eggs, chickens, fish, diary for those who want it. We grow much of the food ourselves and make granola, nut butters, kombucha, kefir, tea blends, infused oils, glutten-free baked goods for you to enjoy with us or take home. You can find these at the apothecary located in the cabin as well as natural body care, housecleaning and pet products, local handmade arts & crafts.
