I'm originally from Vancouver, BC, Canada and a long time resident of Mexico. I'm a family man with a lovely wife and 3 children (22, 8 and 4 years of age... at the time of this add). I love travelling, sports (almost all sports) and learning/exploring/discovering, music, languages and being with my family... trying to be a good father/husband, etc. I work as a real estate broker/agent and as an investor.

The best thing about this property is it's location. It's only 25 minutes north of the PV International Airport and nestled right between 2 small towns (Bucerias and La Cruz) but yet it's private, mostly quiet, well taken care of and right on the beach in the prefect oceanfront community.

Perla 5 (the Name of This Beachfront Ph Terrace Home) is 100% Wheelchair Accessible (almost No Other Property is Like That in the Entire Beachfront Community of Punta Esmeralda). Because It's All One Level There Are No Stairs. to Unload Groceries Or Your Suitcases Etc... Your 2 Stall Parking Spot (as Well As Extra Spaces) is Right There. if You Forget Your Sunglasses When You Get to the Beach... It's 15 Seconds to Go Grab Them and Return to the Beach.

Beautiful views, great access!

We stayed here for 10 days. The condo is very spacious, with amazing views over the Banderas Bay across to Bucerias. Easy access to taxi and bus. The grounds are very well maintained, and all eight of the pools are beautiful. Upon initial inspection the condo was clean, towels, both shower and beach, were provided for each guest. We had requested that the third bedroom with two twins be made into a king with king bedding. We had been told that this was not a problem but this did not happen until we asked for the bedding on arrival, we pushed the beds together and made the beds but still had 2 twin comforters. There is a full bath off each bedroom, the master suite has a tub which is essentially useless, the faucet fills at the very edge of the tub, if you turn the water on too high it spills over the edge. The shower door is missing and there was white stains down the front of the bathroom cabinets. The second king room had a poorly functioning shower head, Fernando said that it worked fine but we were not satisfied with that and emailed Matt who then instructed Fernando to change it which was done that day. The kitchen has your basic necessities that all function well. The utensil drawer front came off the first time we opened the drawer and we mentioned it to Fernando but the drawer remained off for the entire 10 days. Knives are extremely dull. Kitchen A/C does not work, but the rest of the A/C and fans in the condo function well. When we arrived we weren't satisfied with the condition of the plunge pool on the veranda, it had a green hue to it and smelled swampy. We asked if we could drain it and Fernando said it wouldn't help and said nothing else. We refrained from using it (this was actually the selling feature of the condo) for a few days then decided to drain it. Once it was drained we saw green slime on the sides and in the infinity part so we scrubbed the tub. Before refilling we looked at the filter and it was coated with slimy, green algae. We messaged Matt for a new filter but was never provided with one, so cleaned the old one and refilled the tub. Matt was gracious enough to offer us a free night for all of our trouble but we will not be back to that area let alone that condo so asked for a night refund which was denied. He said that we could have messaged Fernando at any time to have the pool cleaned. I feel as though the condo should not have been rented out with the main selling feature in such a state. It should be cleaned weekly.

Owner's Response: We clearly offered to clean the dipping pool once per week and in fact do clean it once per week whether it's being rented or not.. Fernando was willing and able from day one to do that. The renters refused his services. We will get that kitchen air-conditioner clean. The shower area doesn't need the glass door in the master bedroom... so we left it off for safety reasons. Upon further review the air conditioner in the kitchen is 100% working. We also added Shaw Direct (some 200 HD all English Channels and a local telephone on which renters can make log distance calls to Canada, the USA and Mexico for free) at no extra charge.

We absolutely loved the Punta Esmeralda location. It is about 20 min. from Puerto but we loved the privacy and ease of driving to Puerto, Punta Mita, Sayulita, Buscerias. The condo is very nice & spacious w/ a restaurant on site, plenty of pools & quiet beach. The beds are comfortable and all appliances are in working condition. Matt is easy to work with prior to arrival & Fernando is OK to work with there, though communication was difficult to figure out (whether by pH or e-mail as cell svc is often spotty). One note, is that pics show a wonderful bathtub in the Master suite however, there is not enough hot water or water pressure to use it. Other than that, we would definitely go back. Amazing sunrises every day. And the on-site spa has a great massage!

Loved this place!

This condo is amazing, and the owner is very friendly, he answers quickly, My husband and I, and our 5 kids stayed there for a week and had a very relaxing stay. They had everything we needed, The condo was spacious and the decor was modern, we founded everything clean! The spacious kitchen is fully equipped. The area is great with plenty of swimming pools. The kids loved the place, specially because the condo has a jacuzzi in the terrace. We would recommend this place to anyone! and definitely would return several times.

A True pearl of a vacation condo

It was our first extended stay In Mexico! We had other reservations that did not work out and we were fortunate enough to get into Punta Esmeralda, Perla Cinco!

Perla #5. We thought we were in heaven! The condo was far above our expectations and the view of the Bay of Banderas was awesome. A twenty minute walk on the beach put us right down town Bucerias.

Compared to other condos in the area Punta Esmeralda is in the top five star area.

Beautiful elegant place. Perfect getaway

The view the place offers its beautiful and peaceful getaway. Highly recommended for everyone :) it's clean ,spacious and its a few minutes drive by car from adventures places like Sayulita beach for surfers. It's got great amenities and informer of the beach.
