We were in Chardon for a wedding. This home was so much nicer than staying in a hotel.

Really Nice Little House

  • 5 of 5

Several family members stayed in this house while visiting from out of town. it was the perfect solution to needing extra beds in Chardon.. The house easily sleeps 5 adults and a child. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen and living room are spacious. The house is close to stores and Chardon square. I will definitely book this house again when we have out of town guests. Also, the owners are easy to deal with and are extremely nice--just what one would expect from a homey town like Chardon!

One of the best I've stayed in!

  • 5 of 5

The home was very comfortable and functional. It was perfect for us. My husband, my elderly mother, and our two sons (ages four and five) stayed for five nights, using it as a "home base" while we were in the area for a wedding.

I loved that the door was a keyless entry and so we didn't have to keep track of a key while there. There was a single bedroom on the first floor that was perfect my mom (who doesn't do stairs easily). We had plenty of space and everything we needed. I am always thankful when a home we rent has laundry available. I was able to come home and put things away, not start multiple loads of laundry from the trip.

The description of the home is right on. One of the things that put this at the top of my list, was the little things...for example, a notebook with basic instructions, tv channel info, local restaurant and grocery store locations, etc. There was a whole basket full of local menus and attraction information.

I am looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Thoughtful owners; comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

The owners, who live next door, were very kind and accommodating. They OK'd us dropping off our bags before check-in time, and were very thoughtful and generous to our children.

The house is clean, and the kitchen well-equipment. Everything works in the house.

The interior has a basic, rental vibe. There aren’t many homey touches, but the upside is that the house isn’t cluttered with tchotchkes.

Just to keep expectations in check, be prepared to have the shades drawn if you want any privacy. The house is on a busy road. You can’t tell from the photos but the right side of the house looks out on to a parking lot. The other side looks into the owner’s house. The back of the house has no windows.
