**Please note my house is not available as a long term rental beyond 3 weeks**
We just returned from Winter Park this morning and I have to say that the overall experience was fantastic. The home is located in a fantastic area with easy car access to most of anything that you want. It is a REAL home...so you have to treat it as such, which was just fine with us. The pool isn't heated, but relaxing in one of the cabanas or on a sun chair was just as well. 30 ish minutes depending on traffic to the parks. The owner left us snacks and a bottle of wine which I thought was a nice gesture. More importantly you have direct contact with her once you book and I was pleasantly surprised by that. I forgot some of my shirts in the closet and she is sending them back to me. Absolutely top notch service. Book it!
A stunning 2 bedroom villa close with a great swimming pool close to the centre of Winter Park. Excellent air conditioning, with all mod cons,
A very quiet area with a lovely private garden.
Winter Park is without doubt the most beautiful town in the Orlando area.
Its an old traditional American town with independent restaurants, bars and shops.
A safe quaint town with little traffic, 30 minutes away from the busy parks.
This home, located about a mile and a half from Rollins College and downtown Winter Park in a quiet residential neighborhood, is comfortable and beautifully maintained. Yvonna, our host, went well out of her way to make us feel welcome, and she was easily accessible by text/e-mail to solve minor problems—there were no major ones. It was a bit too cool outside to use the pool in late February, but it was lovely to sit by. We would unhesitatingly stay here again, and STRONGLY recommend that you do so as well if you're looking for a short-term vacation rental in Winter Park. (Note, if it matters: no microwave oven or toaster, but the convection toaster oven works perfectly and is convenient to use.)
We stayed here on a visit for our son's grad school graduation from UCF. We were there in December so enjoyed the deck but didn't swim. The house was ideally located to get to events at UCF and enjoy easy access to Winter Park. The neighborhood was goo for long morning walks. Yvonne had it stocked so nicely with snacks, wine ,waters and juice.
We enjoyed our stay in Winter Park's lovely neighborhood. As former residents, we were happy to be back in familiar areas and have a taste of "old Florida" in the cottage. The snacks, coffee and special provision of gluten-free bread were especially appreciated. A microwave would be a nice addition to the kitchen equipment, as well as non-slip tub mat for the shower (we're senior citizens!) I loved being in the back yard, totally private amidst all the greenery, and shielded from traffic noises. A second TV in one of the bedrooms would also be nice.
This was a great little home to stay in, minutes from everything. We were taking our daughter to college that week and we were just a few minutes from Rollins. Yvonna is a great host, she left juices, water and milk in the fridge for us. The Nescafe machine gives you an awesome cup of coffee in the morning! Loved that we didn't have to worry about anything, towels for showering and the pool which was awesome too by the way we're provided. If we ever stay in Winter Park we will try and stay at her home again!
The one suggestion is to put a microwave in the kitchen to heat up leftovers from eating out at one of the great restaurants in the area.
Thank you Yvonna for letting my husband and I stay in your beautiful home!
