Perfect home in Dingle

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just returned from a short stay in Spellstone Home. Our only complaint is we weren’t able to stay longer to enjoy both the home and Dingle. The home is beautiful, well appointed and close to town. The views of Dingle and the countryside are amazing. The lambs next door added to the charm. We had the added benefit of utilizing Des as our tour guide for part of our trip. We got to experience parts of Ireland we never would have seen on our own. It was a wonderful trip and we hope to be back to visit Dingle again!

Wonderful property in a beautiful region

  • 5 of 5

We have nothing but good things to say about our stay in this house on the edge of Dingle. The house was well kept and incredibly spacious. We were a traveling group of 4 adults so we didn't utilize all of the bedrooms, but the house was quite large even ignoring this one bedroom. This was nice give the smaller rooms we had in Dublin and Galway. There was a binder of local recommendations left by Des (the owner). We followed a few of the recommendations and were not disappointed. The hike noted in the binder was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. The walk into the city center was quite easy, but was on a road that had some traffic and no sidewalks. This wasn't a problem, but just be aware. We used the fireplace and loved the smell of the peat bricks. The views were also amazing. We didn't want to leave!

A few days in Dingle

  • 4 of 5

The location was outstanding. As with all VRBO's there was a learning curve (getting the heat right, and remembering to drive on the LEFT side of the road, remembering to empty the water collector in the dryer, etc.) But all in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful Dingle!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just returned from a fantastic stay at the Spellstone House in Dingle and could not have enjoyed it more! We arrived later than expected but Dez and Sarah made it work out perfectly. The house is charming and the views are AMAZING! We appreciated the fresh bread, jam, butter, and milk that were waiting for us. The kitchen is massive and perfect for a family dinner. It’s just a short cab ride into town, where you can enjoy the beautiful waterfront. We particularly loved lunch at the Boatyard (the muscles were the best we’ve ever had). Our kids enjoyed the aquarium and hunting for Fungi while my husband ventured out for the surf in Brandon Bay. The drive along the Connor Pass offers views of a lifetime. We would highly recommend traveling to Dingle and staying at the Spellstone House!

Perfect Location, Lovely Home!

  • 5 of 5

Myself and two friends had a great time in Dingle and enjoyed Des's home very much. Aside from a loss of internet the last 2 days the place was perfect. Easy to find, great contact with owner, easy check-in and everything one would need for a great stay in a great part of Ireland. The only suggestion I'd make is to get better knives in the kitchen, the ones they have are basically of no use. Very comfortable and would definitely recommend.

Owner's Response: Dear Tom , thank you for your review and your honesty. I investigated the broadband issue and it turns out to have been an area fault but I do apologise for the inconvenience. I will personally sharpen the knives and also purchase new knives. Again thank you and you are more than welcome to visit us again. Regards, Des and the team.
