I found this property and fell in love with it the minute I pulled up. There are two houses that sit on 4 acres, placed in between streams on both sides of the cottages. It is a very special place and I am lucky to be able to share it with people
Tracey purchased this cottage in 2009
The neighbors also say the original home was built by the famous local writer Zane Grey for his mistress so he could ride up and visit her a couple miles from his home down the river. I still haven't confirmed this information but many of the locals have told me the story behind three bridges. If anyone find out more info for me, please let me know!
We stayed a Fri - Sat night weekend getaway, and enjoyed the cottage. The property is nice, with the streams and surroundings - the pictures are accurate to what you would expect. We brought our dog, and took advantage of the hiking nearby and then the house itself. The cottage is a perfect size for two - four people I would say.
When we got there, there was a beehive above the door, and I am allergic - I told Tracey about it, and she had the exterminator come out the next morning first thing and remove / spray the house. I thought that was nice. She was very responsive.
There is firewood, hammocks, grills (gas / charcoal) and utensils / pots pans for you to use. I would bring a lighter, there is not one there. Also, make sure you bring sheets and towels.
Overall, we liked. It would be an interesting place to go in the winter too, I would think.
EVERY ONE LISTEN TO ME.
THIS IS BEST PLACE YOU CAN BE FOR YOUR VACATION.
BEAUTIFUL NATURE DEARS COME YOUR YARD, NIGHTINGALE SINGING ALL DAY.
SMALL RIVER YOU WILL BE ABSOLUTELY ALONE FROM CROWDED CITY.
YOU DONT HAVE ANYBODY AROUD. YOU ALONE WITH NATURE IN THE DEEP FOREST.
I WILL DEFINITELY DO IT AGAIN.
THANK YOU TRACY.
We stayed at the cottage with our two young children. We loved everything about it. The setting is very tranquil and is perfect for hiking. Very close to all the area attractions.
Was looking for a nice quiet place to get away from the city and away from our phones and devices. This fit the bill! My daughter explored the streams and the little property while I napped in a hammock. Perfect. There's a little fence surrounding the back yard area which allowed me to close both eyes not worrying she would wander too far. The cottage is perfect - tiny and cozy. We were me, my husband, our 20 year old Au Pair and 2 girls - 4 and 1 years old. Creeping to the bathroom upstairs at night was the only little hassle with a little one, but otherwise perfect and as described. Thank you!
It's a very lovely place. My family enjoyed the trip. One thing that wasn't convenient (it was mentioned in the house description) is that you have to bring your own sheets and towels. After a long drive the last thing you want to do is to put your own bedding on your bed. The outdoor space has a great BBQ and a comfy hammock, but it wasn't clean. Fire pit and sitting area had bunch of bottles and trash. It almost looked like cleaning crew forgot to clean outside.
I rented the cottage at Three Bridges for my girlfriend's birthday and we were not disappointed. The cottage is well manicured and perfectly situated for a romantic getaway from NYC. The kitchen and dining room area is a great spot to hang out, cook dinner and drink wine while watching the snow fall out the large window. The only thing we had an issue with was getting the pellet stove lit, however, once we got it going it was an absolutely perfect weekend getaway. Tracey was a pleasure to work with and even though she was busy with work/traveling she was always very responsive and helpful with any of our questions or concerns. We won't even bother looking anywhere else next time we want a little weekend getaway in the Poconos. This place suited our needs perfectly. Thanks again Tracey!
