This spacious, modern, recently built log cabin is nestled on 5 acres, with great views of the countryside, overlooking cottonwoods and Lynx Creek. Step out the back door to hiking. There is a large deck to relax, visit with others, have dinner, and is perfect for watching the sunsets and star gazing. There is another smaller deck off the living room. You can even pan for gold out front along Lynx Creek. This hidden spot has few structures on 46 acres, so feels like you are in the middle of the country, but is next door to a 5 star golf course - Stone Ridge, only 10 minutes from Prescott, with shopping, restaurants, etc. The cabin is also near to 3 lakes and Prescott National Forest. The best of both worlds!

The 1500 square feet log cabin has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own large bathroom, with a walk in tiled shower and large jacuzzi style bathtub (no jets). The second bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a sleeper sofa, for additional sleepers. The cabin was built for the beautiful views. It has high vaulted ceilings throughout the cabin, multitude of windows, with 2 sets of French doors off the living room. The kitchen and living room are large and spacious.

The great escape.

Spotless and spacious. The road in is fun. Our 2 wheel drive rental sedan handled it just fine. Sunset on the deck is perfect.

Peaceful, great location

First of all, Mary was wonderful. She started contacting me before we arrived, and was prompt to answer questions during our stay. The house location it's great. 5 minutes of bumpy dirt roads brings you out to the highway. Restaurants and grocery stores are very close, but you cannot see any of it from the house. Except for one neighbor, it feels like you are alone. We really enjoyed our stay. Some room for improvement would be the pull out couch, which Mary did mention before we even booked. Also we couldn't find any more garbage bags for the kitchen. Thanks to the 2 large garbage cans on the deck, it didn't cause a problem. All in all, a very nice stay. I can't wait to see what the house looks like when the basement is finished. My 6 year old son loved walking around and exploring with me. When he found out a real estate agent was showing the house to prospective buyers, he was in tears because we couldn't come back to Two Sisters Cabin any more.

Home away from Home!

Our Family had a great time staying in this cabin over the 2016 Christmas weekend. We had the pleasure of experiencing a white Christmas with lots of snow for the kids to play. The location is great for a quiet getaway from the city with only one house in sight. This cabin has all the essentials (some minor items that can be easily overlooked). The cabin was clean and has an open layout with separate Master and Guest bedroom (big master bath!). It is a dirt road and a steep hill getting there, would recommend AWD in rainy or snowy days. Overall a great travel experience from owner who responded quickly to all my questions.

Private and Affordable

Just came back from our stay. It is private and affordable. We enjoyed our stay overall. I would recommend that you drive a truck at least or 4x4 or AWD to access this property especially if rain or snow is the weather forecast. The Lynx Creek did have some water in it and we metal detected for gold which was fun. I would give the unit 5 star however I didn't realize we needed to bring our own paper towels, kitchen sponge and a few other small items that most the units I've stayed in provide at least those items. You may also want to check the forest service forecast b/c the area had a contained fire which the highway posted as we drove into Prescott but it made the whole area surrounding the cabin smoky and unbreathable outside for a period of time which my folks could not handle and we had to leave the area. This of course is not the owners fault but maybe just an oversight as usually when a controlled fire will be completed they must notify the residents in the area. You will enjoy the huge deck much more without smoke everywhere. Gorgeous Views. The home was very clean and we had no issues with that as I saw other reviews stated otherwise. I would stay here again we had a relaxing few days overall.

Not a vaction rental

Unfortunately I would not be calling this place a "vacation rental", escpecially one that me and my wife are spending our five year anniversary in...it was so bad that it brought her to tears.

We had to buy blankets to cover the couch and the bed, and then separate ones to cover ourselves.

In the guest bedroom the bedding is ripped so with that I opted for my daughter to sleep with us.

The floors where so dirty we went out and bought a Swiffer to clean the floors. As far as the throw rugs and carpets are concerned...well...there is dog hair all over the one in the den area (including the couch) and a dried piece of chewing gum under the table, the rugs are so bad that we used a rag to clean a bit of soap that fell on the one outside the shower and turned the rag brown (terrible). My daughter (she's 2yrs old) has been moving about the house with her socks on and the socks are absolutely filthy in the matter of few hours, mostly from the carpets/rugs because we cleaned the floor.

Now on top of the filthy floors, the side Anderson Frenchwood doors had been leaking and the floor is severely buckled. The door had daylight showing in because of poor alignment and missing handles. The water damage had left a terrible musty smell of mold/mildew, now I would not be surprised if the subflooring was still wet under the laminate floors. This is a huge concern for anyone, but my wife has an autoimmune disease that makes her extremely sensitive to this.

Broken/cracked/loose tiles throughout kitchen.

We also bought Clorox wipes to clean tables, chairs, toilets, and the garbage can. The garbage can in the kitchen had so much food drippings and food particles stuck to it. Everything had something stuck to it.

The couch has stains of "something" on it. Totally unacceptable. (that's why we bought a blanket to cover it)

There is a paint pan/tray taped to the floor in the master bedroom...what?!

There are visible leaks from most of the windows and the front door...im sure adding to the mildew smell

The battery was dead in the smoke alarm in the basement was beeping for two nights before I had enough and changed it.

The out door patio furniture, most of it does not match...and most of it is broken besides three chairs. Why is it here if it is broken?

...more...but I don't have enough characters to write it...we searched franticly for a new rental and thankfully found one, we left our stay at this house early because of its poor condition...not a vacation rental...

Owner's Response: I have always had very good reviews of my property (overall 4.5 starts from 33 reviews) and this is the first time I received any complaint like this. I was shocked and offended by the traveler’s list of complaints, since I keep the cabin in good shape and clean, and want all of my travelers to have a great vacation. My coworkers and friends who have been to the cabin couldn’t understand this review either as they know the cabin is well maintained and a great vacation home. Nonetheless, I have refunded 40% of fee of the days that the traveler did not use, for the inconvenience of washer breaking while they were there, and cleanliness issues. There were some legitimate minor cleanliness issues – the garbage can did have a splotch on it, and under the microwave some dirt. One edge of the wall had a black scuff mark, maybe from a suitcase rubbing against it. The floor, furniture, tables, etc. are always cleaned. The housekeepers take the bedding, comforters, rugs, etc. to their large commercial washers/dryers and I pay extra for this thorough washing. Due to this complaint, I am having a deep cleaning done of the entire cabin. As I previously indicated, I have always gotten good reviews of the cabin, one just 1 week prior to these travelers arriving. This couple previously reserved the cabin for 2 weeks this past spring, and at the last minute asked to be let out of their contract due to illness in the family. I did refund them 100% (choosing to believe people are honest and truthful), which cost me out of my pocket as I was unable to re-fill the rental spot due to their last minute cancellation. Maybe this is a pattern……..
