Located on the 3rd floor with a lift, this apartment is located on the fashionable Montorgueil village street, once painted by Monet. You are 1 mile from the Louvre, and a half-mile to the Marais and Pompidou Center.
The apartment itself is one of the rare, large apartments in the district with an elevator. It has large windows, and is light and airy with a friendly, sunny atmosphere. It is of course well equipped, comfortable and attractive. A great opportunity to enjoy Paris and a Parisian lifestyle.
- Living Room and Kitchen
An inviting blend of traditional and modern artistic touches make this a cheerful base of operations for your stay in Paris. Comfortable leather furniture and primitive art complement the fine art reproductions that make this apartment more than just a place to sleep.
Modern amenities abound, including cable TV (CNN, BBC, etc.) in the living room, DVD and CD player, and fast Internet access.
The kitchen is, of course, fully equipped, with stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee marker, washer/dryer, and everything you'll need to prepare meals for you and your guests.
Also, there is a large and independent office room located near the living room and the master bedroom.
- Sleeping and Bedding
There are 3 sunny bedrooms with large beds inviting, playful decors. Two of the bedrooms overlook the courtyard and one faces the street.
Bedroom one has a salmon bedspread, with a king size bed with small writing desk and that same blend of easy domestic charm and fine art that characterizes much of the apartment.
The second bedroom is a bit more traditional, with a king size bed and a burnished wood wardrobe, featuring art in golden overtones that complements the light pouring in through the large window.
The third bedroom is hip and fun with 2 single beds, with pink striped bedspread, a picture of Marilyn Monroe and another small writing desk.
(Please Note: During the school period there may be some sounds of children playing during recess, as the courtyard window faces the courtyard of a primary school. Recess is in the late morning, and early afternoon, lasting approx. 15 minutes.)
At your doorstep is one of Paris' trendiest streets, with restaurants, gourmet food shops, florists, excellent bread and pastries, cheeses, an organic supermarket, international news stand, pharmacies, supermarkets, banks, small bars and of course many cafes. Paris is at your feet.
There's even a small cultural center here, with free classical concerts from the Conservatory, once a week.
The nearest Metro is Sentier, one block away, and 200 meters away is the Halles underground shopping center.
Nearest Metro: Sentier (1 block)
The Montorgueil street is known for its lively and colorful open-air market.
A stone's throw from the Louvre and the Seine, you cannot beat the central location of this Paris apartment rental. The neighbouring pedestrian Quartier Montorgueil embodies the essence of authentic Parisian life and has been called the 'new urban village' of Paris. One of the capital's most colorful market streets, it is home to some of its best restaurants, cafes and food shops.
(Indeed, Queen Elizabeth was paraded here on her visit to Paris in 2004 to celebrate the centenary of the 'Entente Cordial'. Apparently, she loved the cakes from the famed Stohrer bakery, where you may find yourself on many a morning.)
The adjacent Place des Victories, designed by Place Vendome's Hardouin Mansart, forms an intimate circle around a statue of Louis XIV and today is dedicated to the designer names of fashion.
This apartment is also walking distance from the renowned Centre Cultural Georges Pompidou, or Beaubourg, which contains Paris' Museum of Modern Art. Another asset of this location is the closeness of Paris' most important monuments and tourist points of interest such as the Louvre Museum, and the majestic Tuileries gardens.
Only a stone's throw away are the Seine river and its delightful islands, the Ile de la Cite, home of Notre Dame Cathedral, and Ile Saint Louis, where a 'petit caf' can be enjoyed at leisure.
Nearest metro : Bourse, Sentier, les Halles

We are widely travelled, and much prefer the comfort of staying in an apartment on holiday as opposed to the usually sterile atmosphere of a hotel. We love that there is always a lot more space - than a shoebox room. When we rent an apartment ourselves, we expect a clean and functioning apartment with all the amenities we need for an extended stay. A helpful and friendly host who provides lots of information about the city/area is very welcome and we strive to provide this for guests who stay with us!
What a fantastic experience and apartment! We were a group of 4 adults and 1 teenager having a family reunion in Paris. This apartment and its location were perfect- plenty of space, on a fantastic walking street lined with delicious bakeries and eateries, close to so many attractions and in terrific shape. The beds and linens were so comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water for everyone. Almost full length windows in the front allow you to be part of the scene when open and have quiet when closed. The rental process went so smoothly. Alicia answered all questions promptly and was very flexible. Check-in with our greeter was also simple. It was a delightful experience. A big thank you to Welcome 2 France group!!!
Wonderful apartment and in a perfect location. Our host was very helpful and did an excellent job. The many nearby restaurants and grocery stores were very convenient and of course being close to 2 metro stops was great. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen well stocked and appreciated the Paris Guide books.
This place is amazing, this was our first experience with using VRBO and we were more than impressed. The communication before we arrived was great they even helped me with directions to tour pick up locations when google maps did not work, they also helped with getting transportation from the airport. The gentleman that greeted us was very pleasant and genuine in wanting to help get us settled, he was also able to help us with our ride back to the airport. This is an amazing place to stay and stay like a local, the shops in the area were perfect for grabbing a quick meal and when we had time for longer the bistros were amazing and on Christmas the kitchen was so well stocked with cooking items I was able to prepare a meal for our family.
The location was great as it was just steps away from the metro and the metro was very user friendly. This is a very spacious apartment we never felt like we were tripping over each other. Thank you for the amazing adventure.
We are a family of 4 plus a grandparent, so this apartment was perfect for us. First of all, it's on a "market" street, so you basically live like a local. I was originally concerned that it would be too much of a wet market, noise and smells etc. But the reality was far from the truth. Montorgueil is basically 1/3 fresh food stores, 1/3 restaurants and 1/3 shops. Every morning, I would run downstairs to get fresh baked goods from Eric Kayser, a chunk of cheese from La Fermette, and some fresh strawberries from Le Palais du Fruit. Then my family and I will sit together around the cozy kitchen to enjoy the scrumptious feast. This is a memory that will always make me happy.
Our greeter was also amazing. He was so friendly, accommodating and gracious. The apartment is really spacious and due to the older style, has that French bohemian elegance that you may not see in other places.
There were no negatives: the elementary school added vibrancy and a local, family feel to our stay. There is a door in between the two main bedrooms, so a little bit of privacy is sacrificed, but not a big deal. The extra study was nice, my dad did his watercolors there. We never saw any neighbors really, so that was not an issue.
We are coming back for sure!
Everything went very smoothly. Communication was excellent. The apartment was as pictured and lovely. The location is very convenient and we felt more like locals than tourists. We were a party of six female family members from ages 21 to 84 and it worked for all of us. Cafes, bakeries, and markets are very close and there are boutiques and shops of all kinds within walking distance.
This apartment really has everything. First of all is huge. Secondly it is extremely comfortable. Thirdly it is extremely well located. The representative was also extremely helpful and informative at every juncture. A top class experience!
such a classic and stylish apartment in the heart of the city it ticked every box we could think of. the apartment was classical but comfortable, spacious yet cosy and central but also pretty private. i came with my family this time but i cant wait to come back with friends.
sam, our representative from welcome to France was extremely charming and amenable no matter how silly our question were! thanks sam!
