This ranch style home is bright, cheery and immaculately clean. Located right in the middle of the state, a short drive from the beaches of Long Island Sound, the casinos, and halfway between Boston and NYC. Just minutes to I 91 and Rt 9. Open floor plan makes for easy living with a large kitchen; central island and attached family room. Park like yard and deck make outdoor entertaining easy. Three bedrooms on the main floor and a finished basement will accomodate 6-8 people. Located on a corner lot in a cul de sac in a lovely, safe neighborhood minutes from markets, drug stores and professional services. Central air, 2 zone heat, wood burning fireplace, jacuzzi tub, automatic garage doors to attached garage, fully furnished and equipped for your family to enjoy. Washer and dryer available on main floor for your convenience.
My husband Chuck and I bought this house as a retirement home. We have 5 grown children and 10 grandchildren. The house is perfect for the 2 of us but expands to serve our large family when they come in from out of town. The finished basement room serves as another bedroom and sometimes, with air mattresses, is a dormitory/playroom for the kids.
Patty purchased this house in 2006
Our home is unique, even for this planned unit development, because it's the largest ranch in the neighborhood. With the cathedral ceilings and paladian windows, it seems even larger.
The location is perfect for anywhere you might want to go. Our family commuted here from NYC while our grandson was undergoing cancer treatments a few years ago. The house was a haven for them.
I fell in love with the light that fills this house from mornings in the eat in kitchen or out on the deck to afternoons in the living room as the sun sets. I love the convenience of being minutes away from drugstores, food stores \, restaurants and entertainment. There are many quaint little villages close by as well. Water features include the CT River and Long Island Sound. Our community has a 5 mile bike path safe and convenient for walking, jogging or biking.
This house was in perfect proximity to downtown Hartford (20 minutes) and was incredibly appointed. The kitchen was so well stocked, you'll think you are at home. The layout is inviting and we spent our time in the kitchen and tv area, with a roaring fire. Added extras included a welcome basket and reading material. Patty wrote a book! If we ever head back to the Hartford area, this is our spot! Thanks for making our time super comfortable.
Our family converged at Patty's house from California, Florida, and Pennsylvania for a holiday celebration with our extended CT family. Party's house was perfect for us. It is large, bright and very comfortable. A perfect floor plan to allow both common socializing space and private living space. Everything we needed was right on hand. The location was great: close to the highway and several family friendly attractions (Dinosaur State Park, Kid City Museum, Elm Ridge Park, to name a few). Patty is an outstanding host. Her responses to inquiries were prompt and clearly communicated. I highly recommend Patty and her home to the reader.
My wife and I recently spent 19 days at Patty's home in Middletown,Ct. It was our third stay at the house and, as were the other visits, super.
The house is centrally located and minutes from major highways. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful and the house fit our needs perfectly.
A great place to stay when in the Hartford area!! Paul & Nancy Cunningham
Patty and Chuck's home is ideal for us. It is close to family and friends and has all the amenities and is especially cozy. It is close to shops, good restaurants in Middletown, easy access to the Connecticut coastline, Hartford and the New England countryside. And as the ultimate compliment, as consummate international travelers for the past 3 years, we returned!
We are long term travelers and decided to spend the month of October 2015 in CT. to visit with family and friends. We believe we were the first renters of this property and Patty and Chuck did a superb job of preparing their home for us. They were gracious hosts, even to the extent of having cups of tea ready for us when we arrived. Their instructions were clear and concise such that we did not have to disturb them during our stay. Patty and Chuck's home was 'as advertised' in all ways. It is located in a quiet corner of a quiet neighborhood conveniently close to the interstate system (but not so close that you get road noise.). The community is a great place to go for walk/runs, including a walking path not far from the house. The house itself was clean, the back garden delightful, the kitchen very well stocked, and Patty and Chuck themselves were respectful and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this house to friends and relatives. Patty and Chuck, we hope to stay with you again in 2016!
My wife and I stayed at Patty's house for the month of November of 2015.
We found the home to be exceeding comfortable and just the place to relax after very busy days.
Our daughters and their families live in different towns in the Hartford area. Given that the house is so centrally located it allowed us to visit both in the same day.
Also, my wife did a lot of cooking for our oldest daughter (who had a second son on 11/7) and the kitchen worked out great.
All in all, this is a great place to stay. We plan to do just that next year.
