Enjoyed the cabin and woods. Got to hear the wonderful song of the loons at night!

  • 4 of 5

Loved the cabin. just the right size. A bit dark, but it made the view from the deck must more enjoyable. No, we didn't see/hear any bears only birds and one lonely mouse. Walking the road and being down by the water was wonderful. The canoe was such a lovely way to see the lake - even my dog, Leon, love it. Neighbors were really nice and I felt comfortable being there. The dog runs were just perfect and Leon took advantage of both. Thank you we had a lovely time.

Nice spot for a relaxing week next to the water

  • 4 of 5

Rustic cabin is right across the road from the lake. Beautiful and secluded beach is only a five minute walk away. Tranquil neighborhood with friendly neighbors which is nice for walking, jogging, or bike riding. Cabin is all wood paneled and therefore is pretty dark inside, even at midday, but is equipped with all manner of lights to remedy. Nice deck off dining room with grill and partial view of water. Property is elevated from road and walking up rocky incline could be difficult for elderly or disabled.

Have been here three times now and would come again. Did day trip to Portland, ME (1 hour drive) on cloudy day.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your review. Glad you enjoyed your stay as a repeat guest. As mentioned, there are a few great beaches on our lake. And also, for more convenience, a beach path to water with dock about a 30 second walk (steps from cottage) with water view with tall pine trees from deck. Our knotty pine walls give you that "vintage cabin" feel.

Owner's Response: Thank you Peter for feedback and your review. Unfortunately, our town has no trash pickup services. Our best and nearest option is uitilizing the town transfer station to drop off our trash about 5 miles away. Our area is a bit quiet and remote but mostly that is what people enjoy about the region, to escape the crowds. Our sincerest apologies. Glad to hear you liked our place otherwise. Thank you.

A beautiful quiet cabin in the woods overlooking a picturesque lake that borders ME and NH

  • 5 of 5

You only need to bring your clothes, food, and linens for a wonderful stay in a warm and cozy cabin in the woods. A canoe is provided for the lake and Internet is provided for your entertainment inside. A large porch overlooks everything. We enjoyed walks with our dogs in the woods and swimming in the lake. (We were there in summer!) The whole area is beautiful and there are numerous activities available.

What a great place. There is literally everything you could need right here. The water is crystal clear and the house is simply wonderful! It is just a few steps to the lake front and there is a nice canoe for use. We hope to be back someday!
