Rach was born and bred in Sydney, Australia, and has proudly called New York home since 2003. Sean is a Long Beach native and owns the local garden center and florist. They love to garden (of course!), spend time with their dogs, cycle along the boardwalk, and barbecue as much as possible.

Why Rachel Pearson chose Long Island

We had a vacation rental in Brooklyn for 18 months (earned over a dozen 5-star reviews) and really enjoyed meeting such a variety of new guests so when we moved to Long Beach we wanted a two-family house so we could continue to do the same. The house is a stone's throw from the beach, the train to the city, the high street with shops and restaurants - it's the perfect location. We love living here and know people with really enjoy their stays.

What makes this apartment unique

How can you beat an early morning workout at NYSC 200 yards away, grabbing your coffee on the way back to the house and then strolling 5 blocks to the beach for a day on the sand?? And now we've landscaped the front patio - what a great place to relax with a glass of wine and watch the sunset.

Great place, great location!

We loved our stay in Long Beach! The unit was just how it was described and was enough space for our family. We enjoyed having coffee on the outside patio as well! It was a 10-15 min walk to the beach and was located near lots of places to get food, groceries, etc. We would definitely stay when we come back!

Home Away From Home

I was delighted to arrive at the property with its beautiful garden and warm greeting from the hosts. The flat was spacious, cool and clean - a perfect holiday home. You are provided with everything one needs for an extended stay - towels, coffee maker, coffee filters, washer and dryer, beach chairs and beach passes and everything has a personal touch. All new appliances and a/c in every room. Not to mention the tv! The hosts are friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. The beach and Long Island Railroad Station as well as shops and restaurants were just a few minutes walk away. Friends and family who visited me told me that they wished they could live there!

As a child I spent every summer in Long Beach and this was a great reminder of happy times. I heartily recommend this property and I plan on returning.

Lovely flat close to the beach ideal for sanity of 4

We enjoyed our stay in Rachel's flat. Arrivial was smooth, Rachel was very helpful, flat had a range of amenities.We especially enjoyed walking along the board walk and eating at local 1930's diner.

The apartment was fully furnished, quiet, and comfortable. We found parking on the street, but we were able to walk or take the trolley to most places in town.

Lovely hideaway by the ocean

My wife and I stayed in this apartment with our six-year old son for 10 days in August and it was the perfect summer vacation for us! The apartment was recently renovated and is very well maintained - it is also a five minute walk to the beach. The beach itself is beautiful, pristine and well maintained. The area is also nice because it has a lot of amenities with in walking distance.

Rachel is an extremely gracious and caring hostess. She did everything she could before and during our stay to ensure that we had a good time.

We had trouble sleeping on one of the mattresses and she immediately offered to examine and replace it. We found the apartment to be a little humid, and then Rachel pointed out that there was a dehumidifier, which helped a lot. Also, having a second bedroom was important so that our son could sleep in his own room.

All-in-all it was a great vacation - we would stay again and recommend it :-) Thanks again to Rachel and Sean!

Convenient, clean, safe near the ocean!

We loved our stay at this great apartment in Long Beach. The hosts, Rachel and Sean were great and welcoming. The place has anything you would want or need in your own home. It's so conveniently located to everything we didn't need a car. It's a wonderful neighborhood and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon.
