Rented this home for the weekend to celebrate my wedding anniversary and needed a place with a formal dining room to host 12-14 guests. This place exceded my expectations. House simply fabulous. Is a lot more than what you can expect. Had no issues whatsoever. Sarah, the home manager was extremely courteous and helpful, made us feel extremely welcome.
Place is perfect for small formal events. Will definitely go back.
We rented this house as a back-up location for our company retreat because of the location near the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.
I honestly didn't even look at the pictures of the interior before we booked. When I met Sarah at the property to pick up the keys she gave us a tour and told us the history of the house. I was blown away at the beautiful details of her renovation and the comfortable spacious rooms. She was more than generous with her time and home. She even left the fridge full of food with fresh eggs from her farm! I've rented vacation houses in the past and have never had a bad experience but this house was, by far, the most inviting and gracious home I've been to.
The master bath was a highlight but all in all, the place was amazing. The hostess helped make the weekend simple and stress free for us.
Our group loved this beautiful, quiet home and the short walk to town and to the Fairgrounds was also big plus.
This is the first airbnb that was better than the pictures! It's a beautiful, large house in the center of town. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the farmers market and more. The rooms are very comfortable, several common spaces for lounging, and phenomenal showers. I highly recommended staying here.
The house is absolutely gorgeous. Designer decorated with lots of space and an amazing fully stocked kitchen. We only prepared breakfasts, but wanted for nothing-- plates, pots, pans, toaster, etc. We had 13 guests. Actually I guess the one thing that would have been nice would have been a coffee maker. There is a French press and single cup keurig, but for a large group, making a big pot of coffee would have been nice. The bedrooms, and bathrooms are equally lovely, big and fully stocked with sheets towels and shower amenities. We were there during a record heat wave, and the AC was able to keep us cool. There is an enormous TV set up with cable and Apple TV. Nice modern touch. The wifi is strong. We definitely recommend this home for any type of get away, and hope to come back ourselves. Finally, it's minutes from all the great restaurants in town and the Indie movie theatre.
The house is very beautiful! Excellent, well designed interior, top-of-the-line appliances. Great for family get away and celebrations. Kitchen and the dining area are the heart of the house and are by far the best I have experienced. The third floor might difficult for older travelers.
Our extended family spent a couple of wonderful days at the house in the fall and couldn't imagine a more perfect house. This is a beautifully restored old house with ~12' ceilings that's been furnished almost entirely from Restoration Hardware. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms range from lovely to luxurious. The kitchen is well equipped, easily the best kitchen any of us had ever seen in a rental property. Frankly, I'd love to have that kitchen in my home. There's 3 season porches and a wonderful big yard. It's also a 4 minute walk to the center of town---a cute and cozy village with several nice restaurants.
