Great stay!

Comfortable and cute cabin with great views! Holley was a great host for our cabin and was very informative. Our kids loved the animals and "had a terrific time in the loft" (quoted from my 8 year old). The style and comfort of this cabin will not disappoint.

Good, but not what we expected

  • 4 of 5

Visually the cabin was lovely and very clean. It was in a beautiful setting. It is located 30 minutes outside of Cody in a secluded area. I was disappointed in its proximity to Cody. There were four of us (3 adults and 1child). It is open concept and lacks privacy. It had a microwave but had no frig. This accomodation was fine for someone who wants to be out of town in more of a natural setting and does not mind the distance to Yellowstone.

Just what we were looking for!

  • 5 of 5

We abosolutely loved our stay here! The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and two teenaged daughters. The owners were so helpful, giving us suggestions on what to do, where to eat and the history of the cabin and the area. We had an amazing breakfast one morning with their chicken's eggs while sitting on the picnic table out back, looking at the mountains. It was perfect. My only regret is that we had our days pretty planned so we didn't have a lot of time to just hang out and enjoy the ranch! I highly recommend staying here!

Away from everything

  • 5 of 5

We bad! Should have known there is no cell service that far away from any resemblance of a town! That's a good thing! As we came into Clark, towards evening, we had not downloaded directions, so we started driving around! It all looks the same! Fortunately, at one small area, we received service, was able to figure out where we should go and remembered the picture of the entrance! Saved us a trip back to Cody in order to find the ranch! Speaking of the ranch, we never got the tour I see lots of folks talk about, guess because Tim and Holley came in the next day, maybe thinking the ranch hands had shown us, which they hadn't. When we did meet Tim and Holley, they were more than pleasant and just downright friendly and made sure we were comfy! Be advised if you want to cook for yourselves, bring your food from Cody, since there is nothing closer! We had a great time driving to Red Lodge , Beartooth Pass/Mountains, and of course, Yellowstone! Truly a wonderful get away from it all ,including all electronics, destination! Cabin was delightful, clean and comfy! Thunderstorms in the area everyday was perfect for us Californians who rarely get such a treat! All the animals made for a fun time and good memories. After 5 days , must say a stay which made good memories!

Cozy and welcoming

  • 5 of 5

As soon as we arrived the owners made us feel welcomed. Loved the fresh eggs and the beds were very comfortable. The views of the mountains from the master bedroom were amazing. Can't wait to go again.

Not what we expected

  • 2 of 5

We booked this for three primary reasons. Proximity to Yellowstone. Farm animals. Stellar reviews of Tim and Holley as hosts.

This is nor what we regard as close to Yellowstone... 1hr 30 at best, and add the 2hr delay to take the recommended Bearclaw route.(which is over 2hrs to Yellowstone anyway ... yes it took us 4 1/2 hrs just to get to the entry)

Tim and Holley weren't there, which also changed the experience totally compared to what we read. No farm tour, no meeting the horses, etc.

We changed our plans fully as a result, and though we enjoyed the area anyway, we felt very let down.

The cabin itself is pretty good, and you are certainly away from it all, but check where you are location wise, and I guess make sure the owners are about. .
