Lovely cabin with everything you need.

  • 5 of 5

We had a really nice time in the rustic home. We appreciated the antiques and the quiet. We had everything we needed, the place was clean and charming.

If you have a chance go on the boat with Willy! One of the highlights of our trip! What a lovely captain, full of knowledge. We caught a lot of fish, including a huge cobia! Deanna was very kind as well. We never met her in person but enjoyed speaking with her.

I would recommend this place, as long as you are willing to be in a rustic environment and respectful of the antiques sorounding area. Thank you for having us!!

Cute and private!

  • 3 of 5

Rustic farmhouse just as described, huge lot, very private. Kitchen amenities are very basic, but we made it work. The master bedroom could use a mattress upgrade but the other bedrooms were fine. We would consider this property again for another cape Charles visit.

Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at "FishOn". The owners were very responsive to any questions that we had. The cabin was absolutely charming, Deanna definitely did a great job decorating/furnishing it. Our kids loved the outside shower and our dogs had a wonderful time running around in the yard.We would stay here again in a minute! Thank you!!

Mom’s Birthday fishing trip.

  • 5 of 5

My dad and I have stayed in the Fish On on several occasions over the years. This year I decided to treat my mom to a Birthday Fishing Trip. As always Mr. Wilson went out of his way to make sure our trip to the Eastern Shore was spot on. From giving me pointers and suggestions on bait type and rigs to use to catch croakers. Mr. Wilson told us to give him a call if we needed anything from ice for the fish to Water to clean up boat before leaving the Eastern Shore headed back to North Carolina. The Fish On Cabin is a very clean tidy place to kick your feet up after a long trip or a long day on the water. We look forward to staying there again next year. Hopefully the croakers will be more plentiful. Thanks again Mr. Wilson for yet another stay in Cspe Charles.

Adorable little rustic house!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Fish-On was really nice. It was very quaint, quiet and secluded - which is what I was looking for. Wilson was very accommodating and called me when we arrived to ensure we had everything we needed. The location is not far at all from the Food Lion on Lankford Hwy if you need to pick up some things. There is also a Dollar General, McDonalds and liquor store there. I loved the big ICE box machine across the highway from the Food Lion - $2.00 for a huge bag of ice! The only issue we ran into was one of the beds in the bedroom. A couple of the panels below the mattress kept falling out onto the floor. Showers are a little tight, but they worked just fine. I loved how close Cape Charles Beach is. The Shanty and the Oyster Creek Farm is a must! Good food and great marina with a live band!! Thank you Wilson, we really enjoyed ourselves!

Secluded, charming, rustic comfortable getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderfully rustic two-storey cottage with wood floors, open wood ceilings, farm sink, and rustic furniture. Everything was beautifully clean and charmingly decorated.

There are two full baths with showers - one upstairs and one down. The three bedrooms are upstairs. There is a futon/sofa downstairs and another large sofa bed in the living room.

A full refrigerator and gas stove - along with an old pine dining table, - made for a great meal one night. The owner, Wilson, brought fresh fish from that day's fishing expedition along with tomatoes, okra, peppers, and flowers from his garden. He runs a fishing charter and is a delight to talk to.

The washer and dryer came in handy, as did the hair dryer. We loved using the old cutting board and carbon steel knives in them kitchen.

The location was at the end of a road - very secluded - yet handy to the beach and shops in Cape Charles (7 mins away) as well as 5 or more decent antique shops in a 15-mile radius.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "FishOn" and look forward to returning!
