About Bill Sullivan
Transplanted downstater who has been vacationing and 2nd homing in the area since 1976. Why Bill Sullivan chose Hillsdale
Fully LED and with high efficiency heat pumps, a super insulated structure makes the apartment very comfortable in both winter and summer - new wall construction makes this property very quiet and peaceful in a great in-town location. Walk to restaurants and shopping or day-trip to the great offerings of the Berkshires. Come for a weekend or a month stay you will never be bored.

Lovely, clean, luxurious space! Right down the road from a rail trail - and smack between Great Barrington and Hudson. Be prepared to drive if you want to enjoy the amenities of the Berkshire’s (Hillsdale is VERY small town) but otherwise this is a lovely space to call home base!
Comfortable, clean, modern apartment
My family and I had a wonderful stay! The apartment was the perfect size for our family of four. It has every amenity one can think of. Bill and Lynne were the perfect hosts. They made sure that we had everything that we needed and were accessible. The apartment is extremely comfortable. It was a very quick drive to Catamount. We plan to stay again.
Amazingly Quiet in the Center of Town
We were a little apprehensive renting a place right on rt. 23 in the center of Hillsdale. We figured it was likely to be noisy from passing trucks and other traffic. It was not. The owners must have invested heavily in sound-proofing materials and high quality windows, because the road noise was a non-factor. We honestly forgot how close we were to the road. The apartment itself is nicely renovated, comfortable, functional and clean. Perfect for a weekend away. We spent Saturday morning at the Farmer's Market 5 minutes from the house and then brought everything we bought back to the apartment for lunch and dinner. Crossroads Cafe is two houses down, and the new tea house, Casana, is just across the street. The rest of the weekend we spent hiking in the Taconics and riding our bicycles.
We stayed in the apartment for almost a month. We loved every second of our stay. Hillsdale is an adorable town, it's an easy drive to so much, and Bill & Lynne were the perfect hosts. Would recommend unequivocally.
Wonderful in every aspect!
Lynne and Bill provided my family with our best HomeAway experience yet. Everything about our trip was special. Lynne and Bill are wonderful hosts. They did an amazing job on the property, and continue to make enhancements. We shopped at their consignment store that is on the street level of the property. We enjoyed the wonderful surrounding area and loved the apartment. The place is not only beautiful, it is immaculate and we felt comfortable there. Even my two daughters, the toughest of critics, fell in love with the place and complimented my HomeAway choice. We hope to get back there sometime. Highly recommended!
Beautifully renovated and tastefully restored apartment, full of light, charm & comfortable touches.
We loved our stay in Bill and Lynne’s beautiful apartment in Hillsdale, a cute little town that’s convenient to the Berkshires as well as to Hudson, NY. The fully renovated unit is bright and attractively furnished, and offers every amenity, including a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. The marble bathroom is luxurious and fully modern, yet the apartment retains some of its historical charms with its wood floors and doors. With the cathedral ceilings and the open living area design, there is a sense of spaciousness, and its second floor location adds to the privacy of the unit. An added bonus was Lynne’s great consignment shop downstairs, which has an interesting selection of well-priced items—we left with several of them! Both Bill and Lynne are charming hosts, and helped us by giving directions to the Wassaic train station and recommendations to several good restaurants. We were totally comfortable in this lovely apartment, and look forward to staying there again.
