This spacious apartment has gorgeous ocean and marsh views from every window. Every room has been renovated. There is a large new bath, new kitchen and wall to wall carpeting. The large bedrooms have fabulous ocean views. You enter from a patio overlooking the tranquil marsh. The family room flows directly into the bright eat in kitchen with all the amenities of home (microwave, coffee maker and toaster). There is a flat screen TV, WiFi , DVD player and a sleep sofa for additional guests (Apartment sleeps 6 very comfortably). The first bedroom has a queen size bed and the second a full size bed. There is plenty of room for a cot or portable crib for a small child. It is just steps from the ocean with a Public Way (#2) directly across the street. This is a second floor unit in a two unit home. The opportunity exists for large families or multiple families wishing to vacation together to rent both the first floor and the second floor simultaneously. Why David Gamblin chose Southern Coast of Maine

My family and I have vacationed in Wells Beach for countless summers. We rented over a dozen different properties. All the properties we rented required us to pack all our beach gear in the car, fight the traffic and cross our fingers we would find a parking spot. If we could find a spot, it was often the typical $10/day. Then we would load all of 'beach gear' on our shoulders and make the walk to the beach. At times it was frustrating. Bathroom breaks were always an adventure. When we decided to purchase a home in Wells, we wanted to be right by the ocean. 80 Atlantic was perfect. It had a crosswalk at the end of the driveway for the kids and direct access to Public Way # 2. (No walking up or down Atlantic Ave to reach the nearest Public Way). Bathroom calls were no longer a problem and anything we forgot to bring with us was just across the street. 80 Atlantic is also extremely close to Wells Beach 'Center'. If you want a newspaper or a snack, the convenience store is right there. If the kids want to go to the arcade or get an ice cream its just a short walk. On top of all this, our home has Maine marsh views from the back and ocean views from the front.

What makes this apartment unique

So close to the beach, yet without the huge price tag of an on beach rental. The house is a short drive from specialty shopping in either Ogunquit or Kennebunkport. The Maine Kittery Outlets are just down the highway from Wells. Mini golf is available in Wells and a public transportation trolley can take you all over town

Great Location

Very nice beachy apt on 2nd floor. Close to all the beach towns...the trolley stop is just up the street. Great being able to walk across the street and be on the beach!

Right across from the beach, great location. The only "issue", was from my kids with the internet.. And if you have kids you'll understand. We couldn't stream anything to watch on TV or our tablets/phones. Everything "timed out and was loading" every 2 minutes. I believe they may only have 1 internet connection for the entire place and if you have 2 families there.. All using the same wifi.. You won't get very far

Great Stay!

We had a great stay. The second floor was nicely decorated, clean and provided the comforts of home. Really appreciate the basement that included a washer/dryer for use, as well as chairs and toys for the beach. It's a wonderful location and very quiet at night. Parking is a little tight, but manageable. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Sunrise on the Beach Every Morning

Our family really enjoyed this property. We were back and forth from the beach all day without the hassle of driving or carrying much stuff. Having beach chairs, umbrella's etc. for our use was definitely a plus. The apartment was spacious and living room comfortable. Loved having the clothes line and laundry downstairs for our use. Our host was very helpful and friendly as well. Just keep in mind you have to clean the unit before you leave. This always takes longer than you think.
