About the property

Serene Lakefront camp with three bedrooms and beautiful view of Indian Bay

A little bit of heaven: Indian Bay Lake George retreat. NEW: New bathroom with tub, new kitchen flooring, new beds, bed comforters, and some new furniture.

Serenity, peace and nature: Lake George offers stretches of clear water dotted by islands, numerous hiking trails, refreshing swimming, fishing for lake trout, salmon, bass and perch and miles of water for boating. Indian Bay in Hulett's Landing is located on the east side of Lake George, about halfway up the lake: 45 minutes from Lake George Village, 20 minutes from Whitehall, NY, 30 minutes (south) of Ticonderoga, N.Y., and half hour to Vermont and its many attractions.

A comfortable, family home for over 60 years, built with love by our father, this is a lake front camp which provides prime waterfront access to a protected bay in a three bedroom camp, surrounded by lush trees, green mountains and abundant wildlife. Swim off the dock or at a sandy private beach a very short walk away. The dock has space for a boat up to 30 feet and space for a small boat as well. A canoe is included for use. In the event that you do not have a boat, marinas can deliver rental boats which can be parked at the dock. Parking is included for not only cars, but for a boat trailer as well.

The camp has numerous activities available within walking distance. Huletts Landing has a 9-hole golf course, a marina, tennis courts, an ice cream parlor, and a bar. Fine dining is available nearby, just ask!

The bay has an island at the mouth of the bay, which is in swimming distance. There are other picnicking and camping islands within a short boat ride. The camp has two bedrooms with queen beds and sleeping loft with another queen bed and two twin beds. There is a splendid view of the lake from the very large covered front porch, allowing for a view of gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Outside there is a patio with a fireplace outside, good to use as a fire-pit or to roast marshmallows. Inside there is a wood stove and two bedrooms with queen beds and a sleeping loft with another queen bed and two twin beds. Included within the camp is a Microwave, Satellite dish, flat screen TV, DVD player, Gas Grill, and Phone for local calling. The kitchen is well equipped with all the tools, including lots of cookbooks. And, there is wonderful soft well water.

Contract MUST be filled out and signed when rental is reserved.

Linens are not included. An additional charge of $100 will be charged if desired (only sheets, please, no towels) but this MUST be checked on the contract.

Smoking is permitted on covered porch.

No Jet skis or pets please.

About Margaret S Ramirez

Our father lovingly built this camp in 1953, spending each vacation here, adding to this lake front home. I grew up vacationing here, a kid's paradise along with my three older brothers. The view from the front porch is of the sparkling water and our dock down below. Many a days we spent jumping off of the dock into the water, swimming out to the island in the bay, Rock Dundar, and taking our canoe out or little motor boat onto the lake. The swimming is so refreshing in this clear, spring fed lake surrounded by mountains. I grew up catching frogs and turtles and going fishing with my brothers and father. A marina is close by to rent fishing or skiing boats. And, the hiking is phenomenal either in the summer or during the colorful fall with all of the changing foliage. All of our family keep returning year after year.

Margaret S Ramirez purchased this cabin in 1953

Why Margaret S Ramirez chose Huletts Landing

This is a home away from home, built with love. It is warm, comfortable and offers a woodsy/camp vibe. The location is perfect, being right on the water in a quiet bay. And, we are now bringing our grandchildren to the home that their great-grandfather built.

What makes this cabin unique

Sitting on the front porch, you see the light filtering through the trees and the sparkling water down below. When you get here, the stress slides off and the relaxation begins. In the morning, you see the filtered sun through the windows and the blowing leaves. Having lived all over the United States, I appreciate all the more the clear water and the beauty of the surrounding mountainsides.

Everything was great

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nice cabin rental with a great big porch for relaxing and watching the water. Well equipped, good layout for vacation with friends. The house is easy to find and in a quiet area but close to everything you might need. The bay is beautiful and water entry was easy using the ladder or walking in from the shore. Two queen rooms are cosy- don't pack too much stuff! Loft area is very spacious and flexible with multiple beds and extra recreation space for kids. Extra parking spaces was a bonus. Owners quickly answered questions and they really care about their house. I would rent here again.

father & son

  • 4 of 5

The area of the house was perfect right at the north end of the narrows on the water with docking for a boat we rented. my father and I went fishing every day and caught countless bass up to 4 to 6 lbs what a fight. Then we enjoyed the deck with the barbeque that we cooked dinner.

Huletts Landing is the best on Lake George! Highly recommend!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I along with our 3 boys (ages 5-11) had a fabulous time here. We enjoyed boating, tubing, swimming, kayaking, cliff jumping, campfires and lots of family time. The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed it. We can't wait to come back- Thank you so much!

Rustic cabin nestled amongst the trees

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cabin for a week in August. Both owners (John and Margaret) were wonderful to work with. They answered all of the questions I had promptly and professionally. The cabin was clean and very well equipped. They even provided firewood which we greatly appreciated. The cabin itself is nestled within a cove near the narrows of Lake George, making swimming off of their dock safe and calm. The water in that portion of the lake is also quite clear. The property is heavily treed, so it remained cool although the daytime temps were in the high 80's that week. The porch runs the length of the cabin and is huge. We ate all of our meals on it while enjoying the beautiful lake. Although the porch is not screened, we didn't have any problems with mosquitoes. This is no way a criticism, but there are alot of stairs. There's a set to get down to the camp and another lengthy set to head down to the dock. We didn't have any problems with them, but my mother required assistance. If you're looking for a rustic experience but don't want to rough it, this spot is perfect. We loved it!!

Awesome place in an Awesome area

  • 5 of 5

I would like to say that the stay at indian Bay was nothing less than spectacular. The Camp is great with new features but keeping it with the old feeling. My 2 sons and I spent the week relaxing on the porch overlooking the lake, Fishing, exploring and just hanging out on the lake. The camp is a great place completely quite and perfect for a relaxing vacation. Hats off to the owners

Excellent experience

  • 5 of 5

This is not a fancy vacation home. This is a clean "Camp", with a unbelievable view. The owners couldn't have been more attentive and accommodating! We have been visiting Lake George for 40 years and this was our first stay on the east side and this section of the lake. It is now our favorite, less people and excellent fishing. The neighbors were great and the community was perfect. John was the best, checking in to assure our needs were met and giving us excellent fishing advise. I highly recommend this rental!

Owner's Response: Walter, John and I are so glad that you enjoyed your stay! Our Dad built out camp with love, year after year, adding on to it. My favorite spot is to sit on the porch every morning and see the bay, sparkling blue, and hear the birds chirping. So glad you could join us! Regards, Margaret and John
