About Diana Van Winkle

We purchased 200 acres in the rolling hills of middle Tennessee and built our home. There was a historic home that was built in the early 1800s on top of one of the hills, it burned down a few years ago and we salvaged as much of the original building materials as possible to build a cabin and there are plans to build a pavilion for weddings also. We both love the outdoors and have several acres of woods that in the coming months will have trails opened for touring in an all terrain vehicle or simply enjoying the property by hiking the trails. Don't feel you have to leave the Cabin as the quietness of the birds singing and wind blowing thru the trees will put you to sleep on the large porch as you rock away your cares in one of several rocking chairs (we know since we visit the Cabin often to relax ourselves). Come visit us in this beautiful country setting and you'll realize why we love it so much.

Why Diana Van Winkle chose Tennessee

My husband and I both grew up in this area and always admired this beautiful farm, so when it became available we purchased it and began making it our own; carving our home out of a hay field; digging our own private 10 acre lake; then adding more acreage to the property with lots of woods and trails. Last spring this historic log home came available in the next county from ours and we decided that rather than it be burned we'd move it to our farm. So began a journey that we had no idea where it would take us. We feel like we have been thru log home building 101 there was so much to learn and we have enjoyed every minute of it.

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy the peaceful, serene, country life that this property provides with the wild life that live this area. Even though we are close to all the amenities of the city, when we are here on the farm we feel like the only people on earth.
