Experience the original Key West by staying at this historical treasure! Pagitt House is a 3 bedroom home, but is also perfect for couples traveling or families with children.
As you walk thru the white picket fence up the stairs to the Pagitt House you will see the covered and shady front porch that will invite you to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of Key West. It is a perfect place to people watch as they walk by.
The second floor of this home has 2 bedrooms one with 2 twin beds and the other with a queen bed. There is also a full bath in the hall for easy access. The spacious master bedroom is located on the first floor in the front of the house ( all 3 bedrooms have cable tv). From the master bedroom there is access to the full bath and this bathroom is also accessible from the dining room. This large bathroom has a shower stall and a claw foot bath tub to soak in after walking around all day. The bright and cheerful dining room has seating for 6 guests and French doors that open to the side patio. Pass thru the dining room and enter the kitchen which has been fully stocked with dishes, cookware and all that you will need whip up a Key West dinner.
Another set of French doors open from the kitchen to the spacious deck featuring a covered cabana area -if you aren’t a sun lover but want to hang out with your party,this is a perfect place to get reprieve from the sun and additional dining options. Pagitt House offers a sunny private pool (heat $150.00 min) with plenty of loungers for everyone to relax poolside and the tropical landscaping will make you feel like you are in your own little paradise. There is a boom box for your music pleasure, however Please be respectful as there are neighbors that are near by.
The living room has plenty of seating and with the historic windows there is plenty of natural light that comes in or if you prefer you can turn the blinds down.
Pagitt House is a three bedroom, two bath historic home with a private pool, polished wood floors, beamed ceilings, and French doors are just a few of the features of this wonderful property. Old Town, perfect location for walking to many Key West activities. No car is needed while staying at this property. Rent bikes or just walk. Nice private pool in back with a privacy wall, covered cabana and plenty of lounging space.3 bedroom private home with 2 baths and large dining area, spacious and well stocked kitchen, hardwood floors, dade county pine walls, and a wonderful front porch to sit and reminse about your day.
We have stayed at Pagitt House many times over the years. The transformations and updates to the house this year are wonderful. Can't wait to see the new deck when it is complete. Love the new bedding and loungers poolside.

Everyone enjoyed staying at this house. I was there with my wife and our three adult sons. When we arrived we were welcomed by a refrigerator with beer, soda, and water to get things started, that was great. The A/C worked hard to keep up with the extreme heat during our visit. The house location was great with easy access to everything that we wanted to get to by walking. We did rent a vehicle when we arrived at the airport and parking was an issue but we were able to find street parking. Next time we will just cab it to the house. The pool was great to take a mid day break from the heat, but beware that the wood decking is in need of repair. The A/C upstairs sounded like a moped driving through the room, but our sons were able to sleep since they were always worn out after a day of activities. The kitchen, not that we used it, was a lot warmer than the rest of the house. The first morning we woke up with the roosters crowing across the street. The other days we no longer noticed the rooster, I guess we got used to them. When we left the house we left beer, soda, and water for the next guests to start their vacation.
We loved the location, atmosphere, and accommodations. The only improvement would be the decking around the pool. The beds were super comfortable. We will be more than happy to volunteer to stay for more experience anytime.
The property was as described in the listing. There are a few things that needed attention while we were there for a week. We needed the pool to be attended and someone came out right away! The decking around the pool is in great need of repairing/replacing as boards are coming up as well as nails. The only negative complaint I have about the property was the cleanliness. When we checked in, the home was not cleaned as it needed to be. The upstairs shower had mold on the shower curtain, as well as the downstairs and the floors had not been properly mopped, as when wearing white socks, the bottoms turned black. Other than that, the rental meet the expectations.
This house is in desperate need of renovation & was filthy. If we had not been so invested in this trip, we would not have even stayed. Everything was filthy. The floors were so dirty that you feet were black after walking around inside. The shower curtain upstairs was moldy and clouded from being so old. Air conditioning was a joke. We were told that the decking was to be repaired prior to our arrival and that was a lie. Looked like someone tried to nail down boards with finishing nails. We had injuries due to the deathtrap decking. Do not waste your money on this dump.
We had been to Key West a number of times previously, but we had never rented a house. The house we rented on Elizabeth was comfortable, clean and convenient. It was well maintained and equipped with all of the linens, kitchenware, etc. we needed while we were there. We enjoyed the privacy and the freedom to set our own pace. The location put us close to restaurants, shops, etc., but it was just far enough away to be very quiet and even to dine in when we wanted. It was a very positive experience and one we will repeat.
