This house sits across PCH from the beach - it is an unobstructed view - please note it is not ON the beach. Getting to the beach requires crossing PCH and using public access to go to Carbon Beach (1/2 miles away, beach can be entered next to 22126 Pacific Coast Highway.) Or drive to Malibu Lagoon State Beach aka Surfrider Beach (2 miles away, with amenities: bathrooms, lifeguards, etc - Cost $12 admission for parking).
This is Malibu! It's gorgeous. It has the most beautiful beaches and scenery. The people are lovely and friendly. You will likely see celebrities here - as well as dolphins, sea lions, pelicans and even whales (depending on season). Malibu has a small town feeling. Yet there are great restaurants and shops nearby. This house is located in the La Costa Beach area. Carbon Beach aka "Billionaires Beach", starts just 1 block away. Public access to Carbon Beach is just .2 miles away. Nobu is 1.2 miles away, Malibu Pier is 1.7 miles away. Malibu Lagoon State Beach is 2.0 miles away. Pepperdine University is 3.7 miles away (8 minutes drive). Local farmers market is held each Sunday with wonderful fresh fruits and vegetables and another chance to rub shoulders with celebrities.
A week minimum may be required during certain times of the year. The rate is $550-$895 a night depending on season.
We require a copy of your driver’s license, government issued identification or passport to complete the reservation.
We have 2 security cameras outside, one pointed at front door (angled, it does not view inside the house), the other at carport. We usually turn off the motion sensor when guests are present, but if noise monitor exceeds threshold, we will login and check.
Special events: We have a strict no parties’ policy, and having a party will forfeit your deposit and possibly cause us to ask you to leave. Additionally, the City of Malibu requires special event permits for any event if 15 or more people are anticipated to attend. Failure to obtain a special event permit is subject to code enforcement and loss of security deposit. We have a noise monitoring system to alert us if noise exceeds a set threshold.
