Lynchets is in a small village called Betchworth, which is about 25 miles from central London. It is set on a hill with extensive views over southern England.
There are many fantastic golf courses within easy reach, and the local town of Dorking is known for its collection of antique shops.
There are plenty of walks and hikes right from the bottom of the driveway, and Lynchets sits on the path of the original “Pilgrims Way”.

The house is lovely. Very well maintained. We stayed here as two families and the children loved the "bunk room". The absolute star of the house is the pool. Children and adults alike couldn't be kept out of it! We'd definitely stay again.
Me and my fiancée had a wonderful time over there!Everything is absolutely amazing!
We had a fabulous long weekend away with all the family (party of 12, 6 children & 6 adults) the cottage was spotless and everyone really enjoyed the pool. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to any queries we had. A real home from home. :)!
Firstly I wanted to say, the pictures do not do this place justice. I stayed here for a long weekend with my family and we had the best time ever. I thought that going in the winter we wouldnt enjoy the pool but boy was I wrong, the pool house was warm, the water was warm and in the evening when its dark outside, the pool lights come on and its gorgeous. The house is huge with enough bathrooms to go around. The surrounding scenery is out of this world, idyllic, even the kids appreciated it. You will definitely not be disappointed if you came here. The owner is a lovely lady and helped us at every twist and turn that came upon us. I do not have one bad word to say about this place. Enjoy it :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We were a party of 6 adults and two babies/toddlers. The cottage was very spacious and well stocked with all requirements, particularly the kitchen. It was very warm and cosy and the bedrooms were a good size. We had a couple of small problems which weren't too difficult to sort out. A minor gripe is that we could have done with a few more towels. The babies loved the pool which was warm enough for them despite it being December. I am sure this cottage and setting would be a delight in the summer months when full use could be made of the poolside decking.
We recently rented Lynchets for a second time for family birthday celebrations combined with New Year. This place really is such a great house for a family get together!
Between us we have 4 little one's aged between 1 - 8 years old and they spent ALL their time in the lovely warm pool. We really didn't need to go anywhere but we did venture into Reigate (10 mins in car) to the Christmas ice rink and fun was had by all!
The house is really spacious with fab bathrooms so everyone gets their own space but the kitchen/diner is a great place to all congregate when you want to - as is the poolhouse!
Very well equipped, both in the house and the poolhouse. Always spotlessly clean every time we've been there.
The owner is fantastic at communicating so be assured if you do have any questions beforehand...and Jonathan is just a phone call way whilst you're there.
It's in a great location - remote enough to feel very private (and be a noisy family!) yet really near to home so quick journey time - which is important with little ones in the car! we all live North London/Hertfordshire borders and all drove it in about an hour.
Dorking is a lovely little town nearby to spend an afternoon or a day in too - quaint cobbled streets, good shops, cafes and restaurants.
I've already recommended this to several of my friends who are looking for a spacious place for get togethers this year.
You really will have a great time!
Amazing Hiking right on Old Pilgrims Way, the property was once owned by the artist John Piper and his studio is still located behind the house with views for miles; The house faces southward and on a clear day you can see the ocean from the studio.
