Also located in the next town over is a local winery, and the ferry to New York. Enjoy the lake in the winter also with Ice Fishing.

The property is located just 17 miles from Burlington, VT - home to an abundance of restaurants, movie theaters, shopping malls, the Echo lake center museum, and outdoor events on the Church Street Marketplace. This Newly renovated year round home is located in 'The Islands' of Vermont, on U.S. Route 2 in South Hero. Take Interstate 89 to Exit 17 and go east on U.S. Route 2 (toward Grand Isle). Follow for approximately 6 miles, continue over the causeway onto South Hero, and this is the first property in South Hero. It is a very private property. It is a green house with large porches overlooking the lake in the front and back. You are located on the west shore of Keeler's Bay.

Other Activities: Montreal, Canada is just 1 hour north. Burlington VT just 25 minutes away.

Golf: Several golf courses in the area. You can walk to Sand Bar State Park and Apple Island Golf Course.

  • Two brand new tiled bathrooms. Both bathrooms have showers. We do provide a blow dryer. We provide 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom to get you started. We have bath towels and hand towels.

Marina located directly across the street from this property, offering boat launch, transient docking, fuel service, etc. Convenience store located 1/2 block west. Great sandwiches and salads. You can bring canoes, kayaks and rowboats if you want. Very easy to put them in the lake directly from the property.

Fantastic location

A group of my girlfriends stayed for a long weekend and it was a perfect spot for all our outdoor activities. The location is convenient to everything we wanted to do but even better than that is the beautiful views from the house. The pictures don't do it justice. We were able to launch our kayaks right from the beach area on the property. The house has been completely updated and has a delightful room looking out onto the water with many windows and sliding doors. Michele was a pleasure and very accommodating.

The perfect Lake Champlain home with exquisite water views.

A very well appointed and lovely home in an ideal location with unobstructed views of Lake Champlain. Michele, the owner, was great - helpful in every way possible, and accessible if needed. It was a fairly short drive to the local supermarkets...as well stores and restaurants in Burlington. As we love to fish, having the boat rental place only minutes from the home made things very convenient for us. Although we checked in on an unusually hot September day...opening the windows to let the lake breezes in and running the ceiling fans cooled the house down quickly. Spent several days and many hours exploring the lake -- I caught a few good sized bass...We also enjoyed many evenings sitting on the expansive deck taking in views of herons and other native birds and watching dusky summer skies turn everything into mesmerizing pinks and subdued purples. A very wonderful time overall...just wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfect accomodations for our 50th Jeanne Mance School of Nursing Reunion

Absolutely beautiful newly renovated cottage on Lake Champlain. My husband and I were in Burlington for my reunion and had three other friends with us. On Sunday , I hosted a brunch for 20 people and the cottage could not have been more perfect with many enjoying the lovely deck and scenery. It is well equipped and comfortable. We had a minor problem on Sunday morning which was rectified by Mike in a timely manner. Highly recommend this beautiful home.

Beautiful lake house

Our family of 5 adults rented this property for a week of relaxation. It's an absolutely great lake side home offering everything we needed for a much anticipated vacation.

The home itself was completely renovated and it was like staying in a fresh, newly constructed house. The open design with windows across the entire back of the house was perfect for enjoying the breath taking views of Lake Champlain. The kitchen/dining area was great for our family meals. We enjoyed it so much we dined in for most all of our meals.

It was great being literally only steps away from the lake. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and wading on the sandy beach. This location was also convenient for doing various activities like: golf, hiking (Niquette Bay State Park), biking (Island Line Rail Trail is a great bike trail connecting the South Hero and Burlington area). It was also conveniently located to Burlington which is great place for shopping, dining and entertainment.

Michele was great to work with during the entire process and provided helpful tips for the surrounding area.

All of our family members would strongly recommend this vacation home to anyone interested in the Lake Champlain region. We hated to leave and we hope to visit again soon.

Perfect spot for our family vacation

Three generations with room to spare. The views are incredible with easy access to hiking, swimming, kayaking, and all the special attractions of nearby Burlington. Particularly loved the kitchen and dining room for all our family meals. The best find was the Angelina Ballerina game on the game shelf! Three granddaughters loved it! Thanks! Perfect week...
