Casita Oleander is a self contained apartment attached to a long established Bed and Breakfast and is located between Riogordo and Benamargosa. It is surrounded by fields of olive and avocado trees and enjoys stunning views of the 14th century Moorish fortress town of Comares. The location is ideal for exploring all that Andalucia has to offer or to just relax by the pool (shared with the Bed and Breakfast).
The apartment has a private terrace with an outside dining area and comfortable sun loungers which overlooks the pool area and has views of Comares sat on top of the hill. There is also a charcoal BBQ set on the patio if you would like to enjoy some "al fresco" cooking.
From the door into the apartment you enter into the living room which has a television with DVD player plus a selection of movies in English. There is also a full size double sofa bed which can accommodate a further two persons. An arch leads to the kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you would need to prepare your meals. From the kitchen there are two doors, one leads to the bathroom with shower, the other leads to the bedroom which has a double bed, large wardrobe.
There is air conditioning throughout the apartment.
The adjoining B & B offers a set 3 course evening meal 5 times a week in season (two night a week in the winter months) and you are always welcome to join them and the B&B guests should you wish to have a night off from cooking!
Please note that the owners of the B&B have dogs and cats who have free access to the general areas.
We are a British couple who moved to Spain in 2010 leaving behind our busy corporate lives in search of something more relaxing and enjoyable. We both have a passion for good food and wanted to indulge our love of cooking which our B & B has allowed us to do.
Paul & Niki Savage purchased this apartment in 2006
We fell in love with the house as soon as we saw it. It needed a large renovation project but the location was just perfect. The views are spectacular and the few neighbours we have are lovely. The house is truly in rural Spain, surrounded by olive trees and two goat herds are not too far away. Some evenings you can hear the bongle of their bells.
I stayed in Casita Oleander for three weeks whilst house hunting and loved every minute of it. The kitchen was well equipped and I enjoyed my morning coffee on the sunny private terrace. The swimming pool is gorgeous and beautifully maintained with spectacular views. It was great to be independent but also to get help and advice from Paul and Niki when needed. You can even eat with them if you get fed up with cooking. But beware - Paul and Niki's dinners are so good that you will be tempted to book your place every night!
