Our families had a great stay on Demmon Lake!! We loved the bunk house, the kayaks, canoe and paddleboat, and the rustic nature of the cottage!! It has everything we needed from a cottage point-of-view!! It was our Canadian Thanksgiving so the lake was extremely quiet and the weather was great!! The colours were beautiful!!
The cottage is right on the lake, so we could swim and do some fun fishing. Kitchen and dining room are spacious. We mostly enjoyed staying outdoors, and only little in a cottage, but the kids liked bunk beds and toys in a big box in living room.
The view was great. It is a really peaceful place for get away.
Chris Cole responses were very prompt regarding initial booking and during our stay. Thank you so much for having us!

What a perfect place to relax and unwind. The place was immaculate. The beds comfortable. We felt more like visitors then just renters.
From the little personal things left for us. To the wonderful lake itself. The weather was terrific. Even when it rained. The stars came out and we sat and watched them for hours. Made tons of smores. slept like babies to the sounds of the singing crickets and quacking ducks. We took tons of pictures and made tons of memories that will last a life time. Everyone was very friendly. Christine was awesome at answering my questions. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful family retreat. We will be returning. It is on our favorite list. Sad when we left.
Again Thank you Christine and family. From our little family to yours.
The cottage was super clean and inviting. We loved swimming and kayaking!
First off, the Coles are very communicative and kind people before you even arrive to the property. Once you get to the lake house you are so glad you chose their home. The home is spacious and clean. There is plenty of room for guests between the bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom and the adorable bunk house. The views from the living room are calming and lovely. It's such a beautiful way to wake up everyday. They do a lovely job of making your stay as easy as possible from providing linens to providing kitchen wares. The dock, paddle boat and canoe provide hours of fun during the day and the fire pit is perfect for hanging out with family at night. Overall a truly great way to unplug, unwind and reconnect with one another. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back!
This cottage is such a gem! There's tons of sleeping space, and it was hugely comfortable for 6 adults (and there were at least 5 other beds we didn't need to use). The living room has a wall of windows, so you can relax on the couches and admire the lake. The cottage is equipped with all the cooking tools you might require, and the host included a basket of helpful goodies as well. The dock is perfect for catching some afternoon sunshine, and we also made use of the canoe and paddle boat. It's about 25 minutes from Bully Hill Winery, which is super cute, and a great spot for lunch. There were a lot of kids out on the lake on Saturday afternoon, so don't expect tranquil silence, but we found their antics to be highly entertaining.
If you leave early in the morning and want to stop for brunch nearby, we found the Chat-a-Whyle restaurant in nearby Bath to be a really quaint and inexpensive spot.
The picnic table down by the lake was great for outdoor meals, and there are even camp chairs for the fire! It felt much more like we'd been loaned a cottage from a friend, rather than a rental.
