About the property

Gold Beach, Oregon

Surrounded by breathtaking ocean views, lush green forest, and 6 acres of pristine and private land, this spectacular Gold Beach vacation rental house is the essence of tranquility and relaxation. This gorgeous house sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean and features beach access, so you'll truly experience Oregon's natural beauty. Whether you're in for a peaceful oceanside retreat or looking to explore the area's outdoor recreation, this oceanfront property will not disappoint!

THE PROPERTY

Welcome to your coastal Oregon escape! This stunning 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom residence offers enough space to comfortably sleep up to 6 guests, making it the ultimate vacation spot for your next family getaway. The moment you arrive, you'll become enchanted by this picturesque setting. While the property is nestled in a temperate rainforest, its located within the banana belt of Oregon, allowing you to enjoy an abundance of sunshine throughout your stay. You'll also get to experience plenty of peace and privacy, as the house backs up to expansive open space, with neighbors on only one side. Beautifully landscaped grounds with fresh flowers, towering trees, and fresh herbs like lavender further enhance this setting, creating a truly magnificent backdrop.

Inside, you'll find the house inviting and warm, boasting cathedral ceilings, grand oriental rugs, and top-notch tile work, as well as redwood and cherry features throughout 2,000 square feet of well-appointed living space. To add to this property's charming character, several of the furnishings have been handmade. Look forward to spending your downtime in the great room, where you can cozy up by the stone fireplace and admire the picturesque scenery - all of the room's windows are modeled after an English greenhouse, so they bay outwards and offer fantastic views.

You'll love preparing your favorite home-cooked meals in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with all the necessary kitchen tools and a quaint breakfast nook. Spend your evenings on the spacious deck, sipping a nice glass of wine and relishing in views of the glittering ocean and rock formations. At the end of the night, you'll be happy to retire to the wonderful master bedroom, which features a cedar walk-in closet, toasty fireplace, and bay window seat overlooking the ocean. You'll find it impossible not to relax in the master bathroom's steam shower and clawfoot tub.

THE LOCATION

A path off the property will take you straight to the sandy shore, so it's likely you'll want to spend all your time swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding. For added convenience, there's an easier, less rough path that begins 5 minutes down Hammond Land and winds along a switchback path that's shared with the neighbor. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the shore, while you collect agates, admire the wildflowers, or watch the wildlife. The fishermen in your group will be delighted by prime salmon fishing just 15 minutes to the south along Rouge River.

Explore the area further by driving 15 minutes into Port Orford, or playing a round of golf 45 minutes from the house at the world famous Bandon Dunes golf course. The kids are sure to love a trip to the nearby dinosaur park, which features giant concrete dinosaurs. While you're in the area, make sure to visit a local farm for berry picking. No matter how you choose to spend time during your stay, this phenomenal Gold Beach vacation rental house will quickly become a place you want to return to year after year!

very nice get away.

  • 5 of 5

Very nice views and a well stocked rental. Saw some elk next to the cabin ( yes elk, not deer ) and harvested some Mussels from the beach below and added them to our pasta.

The stroll to the water is not for older folks but Arizona State Beach is less than a mile drive away and a great place to have a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.

This is probably the only VRBO property we would consider going back to.

Pretty amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Just stayed 4 nights here for my wife's and I honeymoon and it was worth it. The view was amazing and totally secluded. Aside from a few quick fixes (outdated tv, no DVD player in the living room, missing lightbulb and a few dirty dishes l) this place was perfect. Very well kept and clean. You can tell the place is older but looks like new! We had no issues while staying there and only ran into the neighbor once but it was very short and pleasant. We only ran into one person on the beach and other than that it was completely private and amazing! There is short walk to the beach where you have to walk by the neighbors house but the path was easy and well maintained. The neighbors had a few free range goats on their property that we ran into a few time but caused no problems. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!! There was only two of us but it could easily sleep 6, or more if you bring pads. Loved it!

Everything about this place is spectacular! Gorgeous deck overlooking cliffs to the sea... it is pretty remote but close enough to adventure that it just feels perfect!

Gorgeous, secluded home with spectacular view of the ocean and easy access to the beach.

  • 5 of 5

The home is beautiful and peaceful. It is located at the end of the road with only one friendly neighbor. The trail to the beach near the neighbors is easy. (Don't use the trail in front of the house as it is very steep and over-grown.) The beach is widely varied with some black sandy area, small to huge rock stacks along the shore and out further with some natural arches, and the rocky point to the north has some interesting tide pools. It is only a one hour drive to the California Redwoods.

Nice place

  • 4 of 5

Nice house and property, well maintained but not like a museum where you afraid to touch anything, amazing views. Secluded, have to plan trips to store or town but not a big deal. Looks like there used to be a path on property to the beach but appears it washed away, it is a cliff now, do not try it. Still not a big deal as the path via road then trail is nice, not too steep and only a few minutes walk. Beach is nice, only saw 2 other people whole week, great tidepools. Blackberries were great, saw elk, osprey, pelicans, lizards and no T-shirt shops.
