Karen Love and her sister Kelly Love (the Love Sisters) rented this apartment after graduating from Eckerd College. Karen married Jim Wilson, but didn't want to give up the Love Shack. 22 years and 5 children later, Karen and Jim still enjoy our Pass A Grille get away. We hope that you will too!

Amazing Location

Everything about this property is in reality just as it appears. The only thing not 100% clear is just how ridiculously close the place is to the beach! It's probably 120 seconds from your feet leaving the home to touching the sand. Awesome.

Jim was very responsive and even helped provide some needed baby-related items for us.

24hr coin-laundry 50 yards away helped us pack lighter and just clean everything mid-stay.

Two great bars and a great pizza joint all in walking distance.

Fabulous location

I would give this unit six stars in the "location" category. You walk past four or five houses to get to an uncrowded section of the beach. A few steps away from your front door are a good, casual seafood restaurant, an Italian restaurant, and Shaners grocery/deli with anything you might need.

The home shown in the photo rents as an upstairs on one listing and the downstairs on another - this listing is the downstairs unit. It is well lit and charming, with a nicely outfitted kitchen. One of the things we appreciated most was the stack of provided beach towels, since who wants to deal with a bunch of damp, sandy beach towels in your luggage when you are flying home?

The owner was very easy to get in touch with and very responsive.

Clean and great location

This was the lower level of what may have been a home. While it was older in keeping with the neighborhood, it was well maintained, updated and well decorated. It was small but comfortable for 4 adults. The patio with the hammock and grill was a nice place to hang out. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need and everything seemed new. The location was great, only a short couple minute walk to the beach. It was located across the street from 3 restaurants, a mini mart and a meat and seafood shop that sold 'to go " meals. We purchased some great steaks and shrimp and made good use of the patio's grill. It was also a short 15 min. walk to the downtown area. Fort Desoto and other beaches were also just a short drive away. What I liked most, was that there were no high rises and the nice beach community feel. It is on the main road (only road!) so it can get a bit noisy but the condo is set back quite a bit with a large yard so it never bothered us. Hint: if you like shelling, go to the beach at the very tip at the end of Pass a Grille Way behind the condos to the left of the gulf side fishing pier in the morning!

The owner was very nice and accommodating especially since we had some last minute issues. He was also there shortly after we arrived to give us the lay of the land and was very helpful.

I would recommend this condo to anyone who was looking for a nice beach get away close to everything.

Wonderful for our family

We stayed with 3 little boys and had great fun. Just a short walk to the fantastic beach. Not even the two year old complained that is too far. The sea was calm and the water is shallow at first. Very safe for the kids.

Great restaurants across the street. Spacious enough to play inside and nice terrace to sit outside. Well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and even with beach toys, body boards and bikes outside. Free and stable Wifi, too. The master bedroom faces Pass-a-Grille-Way. Some traffic awakens at about seven, especially the CAT. With our little early birds no problem. Very quiet at night, though, if the AC is not running. Jim was around to ensure a pleasant stay. We will be back.

Great location & very nice

Literally half block to the Gulf, two of the best restaurants down the street, place had everything & owner Jim was very helpful. Very clean, good breezes & never felt like I needed to lock up. Bikes to get around PAG, all the beach stuff & outdoor furniture you need. Great stay. Will return.

Great location and value!

My husband and 11 year old son stayed here during our Outback Bowl trip. We love the Pass-A-Grille area and glad we were able to book this little gem about a month before arrival. This unit is close to the beaches, convenience store, Sea Critters, The Wharf, and our fav Shaner's. Would definitely recommend!
