The back yard is big enough for family fun.

This is a three bedroom, two bath house with an open floor plan. All rooms are decorated in the Adirondack style. The kitchen is fully equipped and features an island for extra counter space. Enjoy a family meal around the large country style dining room table. A pull out queen sofa bed in the living room provides extra sleeping space.

Our house also includes a fishing motorboat, canoe, paddle boat, sandbox and fire pit, all ready for your use. Firewood is included. The house located on a peninsula, giving it water access from both the front and back. This isn’t just an ideal summer home, it is also particularly great in the fall and winter for weekend getaways. Fishing is exceptional from late-May through June. Come sit by the gas fireplace in the living room which overlooks the lake.

perfect lakefront getaway

  • 5 of 5

As a first time guest on Trout Lake I couldn't have been more thrilled with this home. It has the perfect location, amenities, and personal touches. I loved that this home has plenty of spaces for family to have fun and spread out. The owner made sure we had access to all the lake has to offer- fishing, kayaking, etc. I would reccomend this home large and small groups alike.

Second visit!

  • 5 of 5

This was our family's 2nd visit to Loon Lodge, our first being August 2017 and this certainly won't be our last visit. This place truly has something for everyone - whether you want a day spent on the water or just relaxing beside it, you can pack as much, or as little as you want into your day.

The view is stunning and the lake is peaceful. Grab a kayak and head out for a solitary trip - it soothes the soul.

Mike and Linda and their family are welcoming and you truly feel like this is a home away from home during your stay. The house is homey and comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. And the kitchen...again....everything you could possibly need. We used the crock pot and made tacos, pizza pans for homemade pizza and lots of grilling.

We had a few days of rain during our visit this year and even then we relaxed and spent some family time playing games, catching up and taking cat naps. And we got outside during the breaks in the weather. We lost power one evening and within minutes Mike had the generator on and everything back up and running.

Mike was gracious enough to offer to take our kids out for some tube rides on the boat and my husband out fishing for a morning. Everyone in our family had the best week - we can't thank you enough! The Uzar & Witkop families

Wow what a memory we created staying at this lovely lake home.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with my 88 and 89 year old parents who came to watch their grandson graduate from Clarkson University and Commission as an officer in the US Army. The lake home was perfect! Kitchen was excellent- equipped better than home! Only down side was bridge being out in Canton so drive to Potsdam was about 35 minutes . The mornings were ideal for sipping coffee and watching the water. We would love to return some time. Mike and Linda, you were perfect hosts. Many thanks from the Billings

Loved it, this is a gem!

  • 5 of 5

First, the photos don't do this retreat justice. When you walk out the back door and see this pristine lake just steps from the rear deck it will take your breath away. Mike and Linda are the most gracious hosts; just bring yourselves and food because everything else you need is provided. Oh, and best of all the beds, mattresses and bedding are comfortable and are good quality.

We were in the area to drop our son off at St. Lawrence University and we rented the house for a week. It was a good way for us to get to know the area, it's about 30 minutes from SLU. One thing we found was the people in the area are super nice, such a breath of fresh air!

If you need to get away from it all, need some peace and quiet, love lake life, love fishing, love the outdoors or all of the above you're going to love this place!

R&R....and then some!

  • 5 of 5

First I have to say it was a breeze from the first contact with Mike. He was friendly, helpful and thorough. Our group consisted of 8 adults looking for a relaxing vacation as close to the water as possible. The minute my family walked through the door we fell in love with the place. The home is comfortable and welcoming and the water is right outside your door. The view from the dock is spectacular. The home was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. We fished, kayaked, swam and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The weather was lovely - we had a few bouts of rain but it quickly cleared up. Our vacation was wonderful and we're planning on returning next year!
