The Great Sacandaga Lake is one of the Adirondacks' largest lakes, measuring 29 miles long and about 5 miles wide at its widest point. It's a haven for outdoor adventure, offering plenty of fishing, boating, snowmobiling activity in all four seasons. And lakeside dining on the Sacandaga Lake is wonderful!
Located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains, the Great Sacandaga Lake is surrounded by towering pines and natural beauty in the northeastern corner of Fulton County. Much of the lake is located in the southeastern part of the forever-wild Adirondack Park Preserve. Bordering towns include Broadalbin, Mayfield, Northville, Edinburg, West Day, Conklingville, Batchellerville, Fayville and Fish House. (Sacandaga - means: "Land of the Wavy Grass")
Married hard working couple with two children. We enjoy time with family and friends. Also enjoy water sports and boating on Great Sacandaga Lake and going to concerts as SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center).

Great Sacandaga Lake is located in Fulton and Saratoga counties. The lake was created by the damming of the Sacandaga River to provide flood control in the Hudson Valley and for recreational opportunities. The lake is one of the largest in Region 5, and because of its size, there are many different types of fish to meet any fishermen's desire. The NYS record Northern Pike was caught here in 1940.

very quiet location. Enjoyed the canoe and kayaks, short walk to the boats. Cooked marshmellos in the fire pit. Water had a slight smell of sulphur. Great location for Saratoga race way. Enjoyed our stay.
We found the house in perfect order with everything we needed for our stay. Very clean. We reside in apartment buildings so we value bonfire and outside grill above all. We could spend all the time mostly outside. Adirondack pines are the tallest in the world and they smell great. (hot water does not smell great though). The owner was responsive and helped finding beaches. We recommend Northampton beach over Mayfield . We enjoyed kayaks that are complimentary though we were boating under heavy rain.
Great house. Would go again.
Great property, attentive owner, down the street from lake and Lakeside Tavern(great food good vibes). Only drawback... The yard was a mess
I live in the area and had family from out of town stay at this lovely well cared for camp/cottage for 5 nights. It is very clean and well equipped for everyday living. Different members of my family in the surrounding area dropped by and were pleased with the setting (only con was "too many pines" which blocks the sun for most of the day). The dock and beach area is very nice and once again very clean. Knowing the area myself I recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a convenient place to stay while viewing the beautiful Adirondacks! After all, Animal Land is less than 1 mile away and that itself is worth the trip! The convenience of the Lakeside Restaurant is super and so is their food! I recommend this very well described listing to EVERYONE!
The camp was clean and well maintained. They advertised it properly. It needs a couple of kayacks to make it perfect. The owner was excellent on customer service. We went kayacking in Northville. The restaurant where canoe was docked was excellent . We would rent again
Our family had a wonderful time while staying at the cabin. The house was clean and well maintained. It perfectly suited our family of five. It was a great place to rest up from the days adventures and plan out what was next for tomorrow.
Bring your kayak, jet-ski or small motor boat. Our cottage is a short walk from our lake access and waterfront deck. (Deck is just before Lanzi's Restaurant on the water side of the road.
Also, a daily boat launch is available at "Lanzi's Lakeside Tavern (Marina and Restaurant)" 1/4 mile down the street on Woods Hollow Road for a $10 launch fee.
1/2 hour to Saratoga! 1 hr. to Lake George! Great location.
