About the property

Beautiful Water Views, Updated home sleeps 8 - Featured on HGTV's Househunters

This home is located in the Maravista (Teaticket) area of Falmouth. It is the last home on a quiet street that abuts Great Pond. Walk 30 seconds down the path to get to the water and a small beach. Or, bike, walk or drive one mile to beautiful Bristol and Falmouth Heights beaches. Minutes to several other terrific beaches.

This home was recently renovated. It has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, large kitchen overlooking the water, large family room, extra sitting room and separate laundry room. (The renovations were featured on HGTV's HouseHunters: Where Are They Now)

Master bedroom is on the first floor and has a king bed and beautiful new bath. There is also a second full bath on the first floor. Second floor has three additional bedrooms and two full baths (one with tub). Both upstairs baths are new. One of the bathrooms is within a bedroom with a queen bed, creating a second master suite. This room also has a huge balcony overlooking the water.

The other two bedrooms (one with full and one with queen) share another new bathroom.

The kitchen is huge and fully equipped. A large table seats 8 and looks out at the water. Features brand new (2015) appliances - double oven, cooktop, dishwasher, refrigerator, two sinks (each with disposal) and beautiful wood floors and cabinetry.

The kitchen is attached to a large family room, with lots of seating and a large 70 inch TV. TV includes local channels, plus a Roku that allows streaming of HBO, Showtime, Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, etc. High speed wifi throughout the house as well as two wired ethernet connections.

There is a very private, large backyard with shower (please clean up before coming in from the beach), large deck, plenty of seating, gas grill, two outdoor tables and a large lawn for playing. Driveway is large enough to accommodate four cars.

Two kayaks are available for your use - we also provide life jackets which must be worn. The house is three miles from the Shining Sea bike path which goes 10.7 miles from North Falmouth all the way to Woods Hole. You can bike to the path in about 20 minutes, or drive to the path's very large, free parking lot. It is a great, easy ride to Woods Hole, where you can then get off and explore the various shops and restaurants, and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, etc.

From Falmouth you can take the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and on to Nantucket, or drive to Hyannis (30 minutes) to take the ferry to Nantucket.

The house is about 2 miles from the center of Falmouth (Main Street) where there is great shopping, terrific dining, ice cream, town square, historic sites and more. There's a nice Farmers Market on the Green on Thursdays. It is a pleasant walk or bike ride, if you like. If you drive to town there is plenty of free parking.

While the house feels very secluded and private, it is actually less than a mile to pharmacies, grocery stores, pizza, fish shop, etc. So, if you forget something at home, it is a 10 minute walk (or a couple minute's drive) to pick up some items.

The house has four zones of central air conditioning, so everyone can be comfortable. A tankless hot water system provides unlimited hot water. There is a separate laundry room with new, state of the art washer and dryer.

This part of the cape is very easy to get to - once you cross the Bourne Bridge, it is only 20 minutes to the house. Come and enjoy a beautiful stay on Cape Cod.

No pets and absolutely no smoking - thanks.

About Steve Fein

We are farily new transplants to New England (2010). After spending two summers in Boston nearly all by ourselves (we had no idea that so many people move to the Cape or Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket) for the summer, we decided to buy our own summer home. We found this house in an amazing location, that needed some work. We updated everything in the house and created this amazing home. We hope we can share it with you.

Steve Fein purchased this house in 2012

What makes this house unique

Being right on the water is awesome. And you can see the water from so many places in this house. Also, having two separate outdoor spaces to sit and view the water (upstairs balcony and backyard deck) makes it very special. We think we have made the house very comfortable, yet very modern. Get all the conveniences you are used to at home, while still enjoying a beach house.

average rating of 5.0 based on 16 reviews

Online pictures don't do this property justice. The house is nicer than its photos.

We had a great time staying at Steve's house and Steve was gracious and accessible of a host as could be. If we were planning a return trip to Falmouth we would definitely look to return to this property. The quiet dead end street and private backyard were perfect for our family with 4 kids age 1 to 6. Spacious kitchen and gas line hook up grill were perfect for us cooking our meals. This place is definitely nicer than the pictures suggest. We weren't taking a week off so the flexibility to stay for 4 nights fit our needs perfectly. We had a great time!

Perfect Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this beautiful home in my daughters family, and the grandchildren. The home was spacious and very accommodating. The house was in the perfect location...a short walk to the beach at Grand Pond... Also the home is just a couple miles from downtown Falmouth with all the restaurants, and shop.......... and very close to the beach.

We all have a wonderful time....and Steve was always available to assist with recommendations and things to do in the area.

This is definitely the place to stay if one is visiting the Cape.

Beautiful house with great amenities

  • 5 of 5

Love the house. Minutes to town and Martha's Vinyard Ferry. Two master suites which allow for privacy. Steve was friendly and helpful with local information. He also could be contacted at anytime. The kayaks which are provided were a lot of fun for all. The small beach behind the house was enough to kayak from and fish along the shoreline. Very quiet road. Only a few minutes to the ocean beaches. The gourmet kitchen was a great place for our family to hang out and stay in to cook a couple of nights and the sunrise through the kitchen windows [which overlook the water]in the morning was beautiful . When I come back to visit the Cape I will stay here again.

Lovely week on the Cape

  • 5 of 5

My family and I traveled to Falmouth the week before 4th of July. We had a great time! Steve was a gracious host who made sure multiple times that we had what we needed for a nice vacation.

The home was lovely and accommodated our multi-generational family with ease. My in-laws were very comfortable in the first floor bedroom while the rest of us (2 adults and 3 kids) enjoyed the rooms upstairs.

The main living spaces (kitchen and living room) were all up to date and had plenty of space for all of us.

Outside, the deck and backyard were just beautiful. The views of the water drew us outside every day. And the location of the small beach at the end of the road was perfect! It was such an easy walk and we even took out the provided kayaks a couple of times.

Overall, we had a wonderful time in this lovely home and are eager to come back in the future.

The accommodations were comfortable, the kitchen and 4 bathrooms were great and the house was well equipped with all we needed for a perfect family weekend. The owner was one text away for any questions we had. We would highly recommend this home!

Wonderful Trip to the Cape

  • 5 of 5

Steve's house in the Falmouth area is absolutely wonderful. The house itself was very comfortable and nicely redone. The living room is a great size for a group with a huge tv, water views, and very comfortable furniture. The kitchen is an entertainer/chef's dream. Large, open, and panoramic water views. All of the bedrooms were comfortable the updated bathrooms were very nice.

The house is at the end of a quiet street with a small private beach and kayaks. The outdoor space is ideal with lots of (again super comfortable!) deck/patio furniture. Great indoor/outdoor living space for the warmer summer months. A larger beach is nearby. There's also a great walking/running trail along the water all the way down to the beach if you walk a few streets over and back down to the water.

Falmouth itself was such a cute town with many great restaurants (don't miss out on Simply Divine Pizza, Osteria or Anejo Mexican Bistro). Our group ran the Cape Cod Half Marathon and had so much fun both relaxing at the house and exploring the surrounding areas.

Steve was the best host. He was super responsive to questions and returned our security deposit promptly. We will definitely be returning! We could not have had a better experience.
