Charming, log-sided chalet with a real country flair and modern amenities. Quintessential country look with lots of curb appeal on a quite, isolated cul-de-sac provides additional peace and quiet and privacy.
Located in the 'Lakeside' section of Masthope, the chalet is private, yet close to the boat launch and beach area, and within few minutes drive to the Summit Lodge and all Masthope's numerous amenities.
Chalet: Open and airy 2-level chalet with rich, architectural details. Real, solid wood combines with modern, contemporary colors and furnishings to create a warm and inviting environment.
The main level offers 3 bedrooms, main bath, kitchen, dining area, mud/storage room and direct access to the full front deck via two sliding glass doors.
The second level offers a second, very spacious living & gaming area. A queen sleeper sofa and french pocket doors let it serve as a 4th bedroom or just provide a sense of privacy from any activities on the main level.
The spacious & airy loft overlooks the main living area and has a gaming table area and a pull-out double futon. It can also be used as sleeping for additional guests or for just a quiet moment looking out the 2-story windows.
The house is equipped with new modern and comfortable furnishings. Two high-def TVs with extended cable and wireless internet keep you connected.
The property is level, affording easy access.
Year-round community: General area:
We looked for 2+ years to find the 'right' country home. This place had the curb appeal that made us feel that we were 'in the country' and away from it all at the first look. The log-sided chalet has a real country look inside and out, without sacrificing on modern amenities. The home has two levels each with their own full bathrooms, which allows the adults to enjoy themselves while the kids are safe and happy upstairs in their own world.
It is located on a flat lot on a quite cul-de-sac, so it is easily accessible for all, safe for playing children and quiet for all.
Thank you Kurt! Our family really enjoyed our stay and you made sure we had everything we needed.
House is cute and had plenty of space for all of us. I was a little disappointed in the condition of the house, felt it needed to be cleaned. The appliances in the cabinets in the kitchen were dirty, had to clean everything before we used it. There was old soap in both bathrooms - couldn't use it. The owner was very helpful and quick - we had an issue with the alarm going off and he got back to me right away. Big Bear skiing is 5 min away, and the market was close enough if we needed anything. We had a great time!
The house was very clean and the community had so many great amenities. Highly recommend this house.
The cabin was excellent for our party of 6 adults . Clean and in very good shape. Very positive vibe . Had most conveniences of a regular home. The 3 rooms and their beds were comfortable enough to get a good night rest ( bed sheets, pillow cases and blankets included ) with enough closet space and dresser drawers to stash your belongings . The two bathrooms with enough hot water for 6 people taking short showers ( towels included as well ). The loft with plenty of space to spare ( many , many board games to enjoy with the family ) . The living room with its cozy fireplace and comfortable big L shape sofa and the kitchen with all the appliances, pots, pans , dishes , cups, glasses and utensils you could think of to fix whatever you need ( not that you would use it all while vacationing ....but it's all there ) . The washer and drier also helps you to obviously plan ahead and bring a much lighter load in your luggage.
Since we spent most of the time skiing at Big Bear the location was very convenient, 5 minutes by car , to the ski area, the lodge with the restaurant and the small but pretty stocked market all located within big bear.
Kurt was very helpful throughout the whole process of renting and using the cabin , and answer all the questions we had .
We'll very likely come back in the future.
Nice, clean and well kept. Everything that was said on the site was the truth. Lots of space. Saw lots of deer and turkey. I highly recommend staying at this Chalet, you will not be disappointed! We will be returning next year for sure 😊
My friends and I had a great time at this cabin for the weekend. It was a perfect size for our group and the accommodations were amazing. The owner, Kurt, was very accessible and communicative during the planning and after our stay. He even provided 2 air mattresses for the extra guests. The area is very peaceful and relaxing. It was a great weekend in the mountains!
