The Cottage is located on 3 private acres which is mainly wooded right across the street from the lake!! There are 3 bedrooms, one of which is a loft, sleeps 5-6 guests and 1 bathroom. There are 1 queen, 1 full and two twin beds in the loft. The Cottage has a modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. The kitchen and dining room is equipped to serve up to 6 guests. There is a fire place, three decks and plenty of outdoor space. The whole cottage has been updated and the cedar wood floors just refinished. A very unique floor to say the least, please see the pictures!! There is a gas grill and picnic table on the back porch. The two front porches have seating areas. Transient boat slips are available right across the street at Light House Mariana as well as rentals for every kind of water sport. There is a public beach a short drive north on Rt 507. I have two kayaks that I am willing to rent for the week if desired. Guest can carry them across the street and set them in the lake.

A great spot for a quiet getaway!
The house was exactly as pictured with a modern kitchen and a charming wood stove to take the chill off those cool evenings. The weather was a bit rainy while we were there so we weren’t able to sit on the deck much, but we did see many deer and a curious red fox. It was quiet at the lake during our September stay and that was just what we wanted. The process of booking, arrival, and check out was easy and the owner, Brian, was friendly and attentive. I recommend this property and HomeAway.com.
We loved it.
Had a great time and location was great and clean
Great location and owner was great help and easy to contact if needed!!
Cute cabin tucked back from the road.
Cabin was clean and quiet. Some road noise but being back off the road kept it minimal. Plenty of places for people to sleep; 2 bedrooms have doors and the rest are in the open loft. The batub/shower is small so be aware of that. We enjoyed making s'mores at the firepit and the furniture in the living room was comfortable. Great value for our stay.
Quaint quiet and off the beaten path
Easily accessible to touristy areas of the lake but just off the beaten path. Cabin was clean and had all necessities provided
We had a great time here, but missed some ammenities
The owner was friendly and easy to get hold of. He answered most of our questions and did so promptly. The cabin lacked some basic cooking utensils, such as a blender and whisk, so if you plan to cook anything more than burgers (the grill is fantastic). bring your own cookware. Additionally, the mattresses were loud and uncomfortable, so light sleepers beware. Otherwise, would certainly recommend as a short stay away from home.
Lake Wallenpaupack is a center of recreation for the surrounding communities, providing boating, swimming, and fishing access in the summertime, as well as ice skating and ice fishing in the winter. Its wooded shoreline also provides opportunities for hiking and viewing wildlife. Lake fish include smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, rock bass, bluegill, walleye, muskellunge, northern pike, pickerel, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, catfish and yellow perch. Striped bass and hybrid striped bass have been stocked in the lake. The lake is 13 miles (21 km) long, has 52 miles (84 km) of shoreline, and is about 60 feet (18 m) deep at its maximum depth. Guests can rent boats paddle boards and jet skis or go parasailing right across the street at Light House Marina. I have two kayaks available for weekly rental to guests. The Lake is right across the street about 200 ft from the property.
