Great larges rooms- incredible location!

  • 5 of 5

Four families (read: LOTS OF KIDS) rented the house for a weekend and it was PERFECT! The rooms were spacious. The location was INCREDIBLE. Bon fire RIGHT on the river and hot tub too (which we appreciated was clean and worked well). Although it's at the end of a tiny neighborhood street, we felt completely secluded and alone. The only minor downsides were the need for WAY more towels and pillowcases. I recommend bringing your own! The kitchen had useful items and everything was VERY clean. We drove up to Timberline lodge with 20-25 minutes and to a beautiful park within 5 minutes of the house. Ideal location in summer or winter. We talked about coming back to this house every year - claiming it as 'our spot'.

AMAZING - SECLUDED - PEACEFUL!

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived we were in awe of the beautiful home and the peaceful surroundings. This place is amazing! It is even better than what the pictures show actually! It is privately nestled inside of trees and sits right next to the river. Upon opening the door we were welcomed by the beautiful view of the deck and the river through the full floor to ceiling windows! The home was very welcoming and we loved the layout with 2 master suites on the main floor on opposite ends of the home – plus 2 more bedrooms and a bonus room on the 2nd level along with the pool table room. There was plenty of room for 8 adults to have lots of fun together – whether hanging in the living room, on the deck, around the HUGE table, playing pool, or sitting around the FABULOUS fire pit! The layout of the home also allowed for some solitude / naps if needed. The dining room table was PERFECT – providing ample space for our delicious meals as well as some game time. The pool table located on the 2nd floor provided LOTS of fun for us. The hot tub is located just off of the deck and those who used it said it was great! And the fire pit was absolutely a favorite part of our time! We enjoyed early morning coffee while watching the eagles, hawks, and geese in their habitat. And we enjoyed the evening fires as we shared stories and listened to the choir of frogs. The renting process was easy and the homeowner was quick to respond when we needed to communicate with her. We would recommend bringing extra chairs for around the fire (although we used the chairs from the set on the deck). And maybe bring some extra paper towels and garbage bags. We spent 3 days / nights and had a blast! We were so comfortable that we never actually took in any of the surrounding activities or restaurants! We are definitely looking forward to staying here again in the future!

Great!

We had a relatively large group of adults (eleven total, including four couples) and everyone was quite pleased with the accommodations. This is a very nice home in a very nice location, and my friends and I hope to stay here again in the future!

Cant wait to return

  • 5 of 5

These pictures don't do this property justice. We rented the property to celebrate birthdays. There is a huge firepit. I woke up looking at and hearing the rushing river. Nice hot tub. Plenty of space for our group of 10 with 2 dogs. Large kitchen with everything you could need. In short, it was perfect.

Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Brightwood Cabin. We had 4 families and 2 small children and never complained about space!

The cabin had 4 bedrooms with queen beds and another separate sleeping area with bunk beds. The upstairs pool table room overlooked the Sandy River and had great views from just about every window. The downstairs living area had double sliding doors that overlooked the Sandy River, a huge table perfect for large dinners or small groups of family members playing games and a nice sized tv .We made good use of the outdoor hot tub which was clean and perfect for some night time relaxing while hearing the noise from the river. Overall an amazing time and just like so many of the reviews about this cabin, our family plans on making this a yearly trip! I absolutely recommend.

Excellent stay

  • 5 of 5

The lay out for the house was excellent for our group of 4 couples and one child. Lots of room for everyone and having 3 1/2 baths was great. Was an excellent weekend to be up on Mt Hood and relaxing in the hot tub after a day of skiing was perfect. We look forward to staying here again.
