Kids are back in school, why don't the two of you breakaway to Bermuda and reconnect! 90 minutes from JFK, you'll get here from the City quicker than it takes to get to the Hamptons on a Friday afternoon! Come to Bermuda the "Jewel of the Atlantic" and while here enjoy your stay in your very own, cosy 18th century beautifully decorated, and wonderfully accommodating house. Located on a quiet lane in the heart of historic St. George's, a world UNESCO site, it feels like a "little piece of Europe" on a tropical Island. The bungalow is located a "stone throw away" from The Bermuda Perfumery and St Peter's Church, not to mention a 2 minute walk from the St. George's harbour for those of you arriving on boat, in addition to being short walk to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, including Tobacco Bay and St. Catherine's Beach. A supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, shops, museums, bus and ferry stops are all conveniently located close to "home".
Pike's Peak is the perfect house for families, sun worshippers, adventure seekers, golfers, scuba divers, historians or anyone who'd just like to get away from it all for a few days! Be a part of a living/working town and Bermudian neighbourhood that has existed for 400 years!

August & September
Best time of year to "beach it"! The water is warm and the Swizzles or refreshing local ginger beer is flowing! Snorkeling is supreme and you can never see enough of the gorgeous reef fish! Come and feel the sand between your toes!!
October & November
Stunning clear blue skies, still warm enough for a dip and soaking up the sun without fear of "frying" - a gorgeous time of year to relax, go for a boat ride, go for a sail, explore all the beautiful sights on the Island and just make this time for you what you'd like it to be :)
The famous National Trust "Walk About" hosted by the community of St. George's, showcases houses, museums and architectural treasures that have been here for 350 years or so ... The Town is candlelit, there's lots of music, entertainment and samples of local eggnog to quench your thirst! (Held on the first Friday in December usually).
Christmas in Bermuda .... often the perfect time to picnic on the beach and very often warm enough to go for a swim! A nice break away from the hectic pace that can surround Christmas ...a perfect place to just be.

About me? I am a caring rental owner who has a passion for Bermuda , the people, the ocean, the flora and fauna - adore all things Bermuda! It's easy to fall in love with the place and I want my guests to experience it all and have the vacation of a lifetime.
Having been in the vacation rental market for a year with a fully equipped studio apt. I rent and receiving 5 star reviews, I'm finally ready to take the leap with the larger place and am counting on it receiving the same level of reviews.
Jennifer P purchased this house in 2005
My family comes from St. George's and Pikes Peak has lots of character, it's 250 years old and has survived many a ghastly hurricane. It's surrounded by other houses of similar ilk ... the area is charming and whimsical looking and has this feeling of old Europe but with warm tropical breezes blowing .... The people of St. George's are personable and proud, there is a very strong community feeling, people extending greetings to each other on the narrow streets - just as it has been for 400 years! It truly takes you away from the 'real world' , slows your pace and wraps you in it's historical arms and warm friendly faces of the locals.
Fall in love with Pike's Peak just the same way we have. From the cozy bedrooms with stunning views of of the St.George's Harbour, a back yard that is BBQ ready on short notice, and of course our welcoming kitchen that is the perfect place to share a meal.
With our beautiful cedar gate closed behind you, you and your family /friends will be tucked away with full privacy yet on the doorstep of every amenity and beach your heart desires.
Stayed here with my husband and 2 daughters (7, 12) in August. This property is lovely, comfortable and convenient. The owner was helpful and responsive to our questions and always responded quickly to questions.
The house is adorable; the bedrooms are both upstairs. The master is a good size and you can peek at the ocean from the windows of both bedrooms. The 2nd bedroom was set up as 2 twins for our use and has a very small but serviceable bath with shower. The larger bath is on the main floor (also has washer/dryer). The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make a meal. We prepared food regularly and were very comfortable.
The best part about this home though is the convenience and also comfort of being in a small town (as opposed to a city like Hamilton). You can walk to the ferry in 5 mins as well as restaurants, Kings square (where there are shuttles and taxis readily available, plus a visitors center, coffe shop, etc and where a historical re- enactment is held daily), and 2 grocery stores (both small, but seems to be par for the course in Bermuda). The bus stop is also just 5 mins walk and quite convenient. The beaches (Tobacco bay an St Katherine's) were closer to a 15-20 min walk - maybe we walk more slowly than other 😊But I'd suggest using the shuttle from kings square vs walking. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and the town is beautiful. Highly recommend this house!

NICE HOME, CENTRALLY LOCATED.
2 BLOCKS FROM SOMERS MARKETPLACE, WAHOO’S & SHOPPING.
ENJOYED LUNCH AT THE BEACH HOUSE AND PLAYED IN THE SURF AT FORT CATHERINES BEACH.
HAD A WONDERFUL TOUR AT THE BOTANICAL GARDENS AND ATE SCRUMTIOUS FOOD ALL WEEK.
Clean, comfortable, and thoroughly updated, "Pike's Peak" was an ideal base for our latest Bermuda adventure. The neighborhood is the oldest in Bermuda, and dotted with historic sites literally steps away. Beaches and old forts are also within easy, pleasant walking distance, as are the harbor area, pharmacy, restaurants, and grocery stores.
Jennifer, the owner, was a gracious host, giving us a car tour of the area upon our arrival, and checking in with us several times via email to make sure all was going well during our visit.
A beautiful and comfortable home in a charming neighborhood in a gorgeous and historic town in a stunning and welcoming country - we feel like we won the lottery! This was our first trip to Bermuda and we traveled with our two school age children. We all loved staying at Pike's Peak and the experience added greatly to our trip. It is a lovely well-equipped home where we enjoyed recharging, resting, and preparing some of our meals. We enjoyed walking all over St. George down many winding streets and went to many historic sites. Nearly daily we walked to either Tobacco Bay beach or Fort St. Catherine beach and both were exquisite. The bus system was easy to navigate and we used it for easy half-day excursions to Crystal Caves, to the town of Hamilton, and to the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo. The house is very clean and we enjoyed being able to have dinner outside on the enclosed patio. The grocery store is nearby (less than five minute walk) and we were able to get all that we needed to prepare breakfasts and dinners at the house. We would definitely return to this house again and have been telling friends about it. Jennifer is a kind host and communicates promptly and clearly. We appreciated that she checked in to make sure we were settling in. We had a very minor issue with the smoke detector while we were there and this was addressed immediately. The internet connection was reliable throughout our stay. We had a lovely trip and our accommodations were a big part of it.
Jennifer is a wonderful host. Jennifer went out of her way to make our visit to Bermuda relaxed and enjoyable. She made arrangements for us despite our arrival on a holiday with many restaurants and commercial establishments closed. She pre purchased bus passes for us since our holiday arrival date prevented us from our purchasing them on our arrival date. We selected St. George because we prefer a low key and relaxed environment with a substantial history. St. George certainly fits that bill. I would recommend Pike's Peak, to anyone who would like a relaxing vacation with a superb host.
My family and I spent a week in St-George during the month of July. House had everything that we needed for our stay. Jennifer went out of her way to ensure we had a great holiday. Property is about 1 km from the beaches - and is an easy walk. Grocery store is close by, but has limited items. I would definitely recommend this property to who are considering to stay there.
