Situated in the so-called 'noble area' of Lisbon, this apartment of understated luxury, fits the bohemian-chic flair of this ancient part of the city.Walk to the old plazas and cafes, browse in the nearby antique shops and booksellers - all within a few minutes walk. Get lost in the maze of streets or take the nearby Metro to access major shopping centres. You are in the heart of all the old town, but on a quiet street, around the corner from noteworthy art, ceramics, furniture and designer shops. Plenty of restaurants and pastry shops in the area! Suggestion: take the old trolley just up the street and go to Lisbon's famous flea market/car boot sale - Feira da Ladra – held every Tuesday and Saturday.

Two of us recently spent a few days here. The apartment is light and airy and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is well equipped. Patricia was very welcoming and her local knowledge invaluable. The balcony overlooks the river and is perfect for breakfast or that late afternoon glass of wine. Only drawback was intermittent noise from local bars in the early hours.
We couldn't have been happier with our 10 day stay at this property. It is marvelously situated; close to the Chiado square, yet far enough away to be clear of the bustle. Also handy to Baixa and, in the other direction, the Cais do Sodre (for easy access to Belem and the train to the coast towns of Cascais and Estoril). There is a wide selection of high quality restaurants within a ten minute walk, many within half of that. A number of bakeries and a decent grocery are just a few short blocks away. The apartment itself overlooks the river and the bridge to the south, with a great view of the ship activity and plenty of light. It is spotlessly maintained, with cheery artwork and comfortable beds and furnishings in a mix of modern and antique. Isabel and Patricia are professional and thoughtful hostesses. One note for first time visitors to Lisbon - the city, notably the Bairro Alto neighborhoods, comes alive at night. It is a great place to party until dawn, especially on the weekends. We had little trouble sleeping through the night except on Saturday night when the partying in the streets seemed especially loud. A good set of earplugs is highly recommended for any rental within shouting distance of the Bairro Alto (and Alcantara) nightlife.
This apartment is wonderful and well-appointed. Great views and comfortable couches. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, but is in easy walking distance of great coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, fado, and other Lisbon attractions. Patricia and Isabel made the booking experience effortless, and Patricia was a most gracious host upon arrival. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A couple of things to note--there is no TV in the apartment, which did not bother us at all. Also, the two beds are just doubles, so if you are used to a bigger bed, you might want to use the pull-out in the living room.
