My husband and I welcome you to this wonderful getaway. We have lived in Mariposa for over 30 years now. We are blessed to be raising our two boys in the foothills of Yosemite. Inspired by my grandmother Mary to start Rose Hill Cottage as a family business. We are all about customer service and would love for you and your family to stay at our lovely home!
Glen & Cindy Fryer purchased this house in 2013
We love raising our boys here. Just a short drive to Yosemite. We love to hike the many many trails, especially the Yosemite Upper Falls. Spectacular views of the falls, Half Dome and Yosemite Village. Fryer's family tradition is ice skating at Curry Village on New Years Day with Half Dome as the back drop.
Private and modern home. Quiet and serene. One with nature. Private! 8.7 acres.
There is also a larger home on property available for extended families. Both homes have total privacy. 3 bedrooms 3 full baths. Sleeps 10.
Handicap and elder friendly.
We enjoyed the home so much. It felt like home and views were breathtaking. Glen and Cindy were so accommodating. We will definitely go back!
The photos do not do this home justice! My mom, brother and sister-in law and I had a wonderful 3 night stay. The house is immaculate which is top on my list of requirements. We arrived to lovely, special touches, homemade chocolate chip cookies, Mariposa coffee, bottle of wine, chocolates and even some treats for our dog along with a welcome note. Unlike most people, we were not here to visit Yosemite but to look for a home for my mom to purchase. However, if we had been going to the park, there was a park pass, lots of park and area into in a basket. We loved the quiet and views were spectacular and so peaceful. We all said how much we loved the design of the home, perfectly thought out and my mom said she would buy this home in a heartbeat! I've stayed in many vacation homes and this was by far my favorite! Our hosts were communicative and easy, we will definitely be back!
What a great find of a property!!Rose Hill was beyond our expectations. So modern and well appointed with excellent furnishings and every comfort and convenience. The outside patio had multiple seating areas to take full advantage of the secluded, peaceful, south facing views giving all day sun to relax in.If you just want peace and quiet to chill out in then this is the place. Also, the property is very handily situated for Yosemite so long as you are prepared to get out of bed early and travel to beat the crowds. We enjoyed every minute of our stay here and hopefully we will travel from the UK again next year for a longer stay at this wonderful find of a place.Well done Glenn and Cindy, your property is one of the best properties that we have ever stopped in anywhere in the world on our travels. Please, please don't think of ever not letting it!!
Many, many thanks for a wonderful vacation.

Home was very clean and comfortable. Owners very accommodating, no detail left to chance! Would highly recommend to anyone vacationing in area.
Beautiful secluded home. We arrived late in the evening, but Glen and Cindy left the porch light on and the key was in the place they stated it would be. They left us some fruit and coffee as a welcome gift. So thoughtful. We enjoyed our stay. The view from the back is lovely. A family of rabbits visited the back yard every morning and evening. The house had all the conveniences of home and was very cozy. We did not get to use the pool, but we took a look and it was clean. I can not over emphasize the cleanliness of this home. It was one of the cleanest we have rented and we have rented many. Yosemite is around 45 minutes from the house but the views are well worth it. The house is in Mariposa, which is a nice small town with a great museum and some good restaurants. They have a small grocery store on Jesse St. Sugar Pine Cafe and Charles St. Grill are good restaurants. Jantz Bakery is highly recommended too. We toured Yosemite, Kings Canyon & Sequoia National Parks. Since Mariposa Grove was closed we decided to drive to see the sequoia trees. Sequoia national park was 3 hours away but it was scenic and worth the drive. We would highly recommend this house as a place to stay while visiting the parks. It is great for a small family or a couple, newlyweds or senior citizens.
