|Minimum Stay||7 - 8 nights|
Walk or take your bike everywhere from this little part of Paradise, you will never need a car. Tastefully appointed with vintage rattan furniture and fully stocked with everything you will need in a newly redecorated kitchen with popular granite countertops. Bathrooms have been recently renovated with white vessel sinks which add to the contrast of vintage and contemporary decor. Walk out your back gate and you will enter the pool area with a heated pool that does not exceed 5 feet deep. Sit outside to people watch from one of our 2 balconies or the friendly front porch where conversations ensue with the passerbys. The bedrooms each have queen size beds and tv's, and there is a comfortable folding bed in the closet if you need additional sleeping accommodations.
Bob and I got married in Key West in 2013 after vacationing here with my brother and sister-in-law (who live here) for years. We reside in Webster Groves, MO and come down as often ans we can. I grew up in Deerfield Illinois a suburb of Chicago and Bob is a native St. Louisian, where we met and started dating 22 years ago. We love the active style of Key West and the attitude that presides there.
Kerry Higginbotham purchased this condo in 2014
Key West has the unique style of" Live and let Live" that we treasure and wish to abide by. The friendly people, the "laid back" style of living, the perfect climate and the close beaches, make Key West the perfect place to go.
Travelling to Key West and bicycling through Truman Annex was a favorite pastime for us. The cute condos with their pastel colors and front porches just looked so inviting, and so"un-condo" like. When my brother and sister-in-law decided to move there, Truman Annex was their choice for a place to live. Six years later they called and said one was for sale close to them so we jumped on the opportunity.
We spent the holidays in this home and had a blast. It has everything you need and has a great location. Danger Charters is a must book and the beach is a short walk away. Book here and you won't be disappointed.
Stayed for a week in late November 2016. Great location, walk to everything. Good people watching from the front balcony. Nicely decorated, pool and parking just steps away. Cooked in a few nights, ate out on the back deck. Owner, Kerry was very responsive, answering questions promptly.
Would definitely stay here again.
Close enough to everything on Duval St , but hidden away . Beach within walking distance .
location brilliant for everything. front porch for people watching brilliant. loved our week here. house was very clean and comfortable with 2 balconies and front porch and back patio areas. we were also right by the communal pool.
thank you Kerry for renting us your lovely property. will definitely be wanting to come back.
Excellent rental , great location , close enough to Duval to walk , but far enough so the noise doesn't bother you.
Clean, well decorated and maintained ,also a well equipped kitchen (although we didn't do any cooking).
Very nice pool , although we do wish it was open later ( open from dawn to dusk only ) we really like swimming after the sun goes down.
Very comfortable beds . Spacious bedrooms.
Also has an assigned parking spot , this is really important in Key West !! When you are first given directions to the parking spot it sounds far away , but it really isn't . Its just steps from the back of the condo.
Would not hesitate to rent this property again and would not hesitate to recommend to my friends.
Thanks for a great stay!!!!
We were so happy with this property. The property was as described and more. We loved having the dual balconies upstairs and the front and back porches. We literally stepped out of the back gate into the pool area. It was so tropical all around and very well kept. The house was very clean and charming. The kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil and appliance you will need. The place is beautifully decorated! The beds were very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was great having nice beach towels available and plenty of clean both towels and linens. The only thing that would have helped is having 1 bedroom with twin beds rather than 2 queen beds. We moved the portable twin bed downstairs (very easy to do) and set up my son's "bedroom" there because there really is no other room to set it up in the upstairs. But this was very manageable. Having Wi-Fi was so appreciated. But don't say you were not warned about the 5 AM rooster alarm clock. But we never got tired of seeing the beautiful roosters, chicks and hens everywhere....I actually miss them! The owner was exceptionally easy to reach with questions prior to the trip and provided excellent instructions ahead of time. We felt incredible safe at this property and frankly everywhere we went in Key West. The location was ideal---The Truman Annex is out of the way and secluded but at the same time near everything. We rarely drove anywhere. Mostly biking and walking gets you anywhere you want to go on the Island. Fort Zachary Beach is a short hike or a very short bike ride from the property and a wonderful area to snorkel and explore. Just remember to wear water shoes due to expected rocky beaches. Mallory Square and Duval Street were less than a 10 min walk at the most. We personally recommend having breakfast/lunch &/or dinner at Blue Heaven (just 3 blocks from the property). It name sums it up perfectly! The food, service and outdoor atmosphere were outstanding. The Key Lime pie is the best ever! There is live music, a cute bar area and ping pong table and a great gift shop with all local artists work. Don't hesitate to rent this property---you will not be disappointed.
We are three blocks from Ft. Zachary Beach with scenic pinetrees that provide welcome shade on a hot day and is at the intersection of the Gulf and the Atlantic Ocean. Watch the cruise ships as they come into the docking area, climb the rock formations or play in the turquoise water. Two blocks away is Duval Street where there are endless shops, restaurants, and the famous Butterfly museum. Bike rentals are within a block and riding around the island is a great way to sight see and plan out future activities. Nearly every water sport is available at Higgs or Smather"s Beach (just a bike ride away) and you might even see a wedding while visiting there.(My husband and I got married at Smathers a couple of years ago) People watching is great at the Willy T's on Duval and they have live music at all hours of the day (not to mention the best Mojito in town).
