About Tom and Kathy Lindeen

We return from our home in MN with our family twice a year to remodel the unit, upgrade the furnishings, fish the Gulf, swim in the heated pool and walk the beach down to Casey Key.

Tom and Kathy Lindeen purchased this condo in 2003

Why Tom and Kathy Lindeen chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

We purchased this condo in 2003 after shopping from Anna Maria Island to Boca Grande. We selected it because of the uncrowded Turtle Beach and the undeveloped land to the south providing a unitquely serene walk on the beach. Plus, it was the only property on Siesta Key situated both on the Gulf and on the intercoastal waterway, Situated right on Turtle Beach - the quiet end of Siesta Key with the remote walk to Casey Key - but still just minutes from Siesta Key Village.

What makes this condo unique

ONLY property on the island with access on BOTH the Gulf and Little Sarasota Bay.

A Slice Of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Fisherman's Cove Condominium #A205 was exactly as presented. The unit was clean with a spacious, updated kitchen which was fully stocked. We were happy to be on the second floor where we could get a full view of the gulf of Mexico and enjoyed eating our breakfast in the screened lanai. I must admit I was very pleased to rent a condo which had more than an ample supply of fresh bath towels and linens. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. We so enjoyed listening to the sound of the ocean hitting the shore each night! Every morning, we would head out to the beach with a cup of coffee in hand and search for shells. Tom and Kathy recommended a number of restaurants in the area. Turtle Beach Pub and Turtle's is only 1/2 mile away; and we enjoyed a number of meals there. We also enjoyed Blue Smoke which is located in Siesta Key Village. The Village is less than a 10 minute ride, and is the "action spot" of Siesta Key. We grocery shopped with the locals at Publix which is close to Fisherman's Cove Condo Association. We enjoyed solitude with the convenience of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. We must tell you that Sarasota Bradenton, FL (SRQ) airport is only 25 minutes away. Upon arrival, we were able to collect luggage, confirm our car rental and pick up our car within

a half hour. Our departure also went quickly...what a nice way to start/end a vacation!

Great 75th Birthday Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The view of the Gulf from the condo is breathtaking, the brand-new kitchen is better than we've ever have at home, the furnishings are comfortable and easy, there are plenty of blankets and linens. Elevator was very convenient, as was the laundry facility. My husband's 75th birthday celebration included deep-sea fishing where he was picked up at the dock in front of the condo, had a great, successful fish, and he also started each day with early morning fishing from the beach. Many restaurants to choose from. What more could you ask for? It was perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Perfect Place for Sun, Sea, Shelling and Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

We were delighted by our stay at Kathy and Tom's condo! Every moment spent there was a pleasure. The condo is sparklingly clean with great attention to detail and comfort. The linens are nice and the beds comfortable. The incredible floor to ceiling view of the Gulf was gorgeous. How we enjoyed having our morning coffee watching and listening to the surf and our evening glass of wine watching the amazing sunsets! We often remarked upon how harmonious, comfortable, and attractive the furnishings were. This is a place that has been put together with thought, taste and care. The brand-new kitchen is wonderful and it was great to have a new refrigerator that dispensed ice and filtered water. We were impressed by the Pottery Barn dishes, attractive flatware, and every utensil one could possibly need. There was never any noise or rowdiness - the guests at Fisherman's Cove were friendly and low-key. This location cannot be beat. The building is right on the beach but not in a busy area. We liked being one floor up from the ground and also appreciated the well-located elevator. There are a number of restaurants a short drive (or walk) away and all of Siesta Key and beyond are easily reachable. We took in a number of attractions in the area and travel was easy. We arrived well after hours and it was a simple matter to get the keys from a lock box and move in. Our hope is to return to this beautiful condo and once again enjoy the beauty of the Gulf and the well-appointed comfort of the condo itself! (I wish I could attached photographs because it seemed that each night we had a different display of clouds and water. I have never seen such a gorgeous sunset as on our final night at Fisherman's Cove.)

Great getaway

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Tom's condo during Thanksgiving. We had a great time. The views are incredible, and the sound of the ocean is very loud....but enjoyable because you are soooo close. The condo is roomy, beautiful new kitchen (which we never cooked) but so pretty. Great location.

Beautiful Spot

  • 4 of 5

The location of this condo is as good as it gets. Turtle beach is beautiful and very quiet in comparison to Siesta Key. The condo is very comfortable and clean. The only downside I would say is the condo comes with nothing in the way of garbage bags, foil, etc. We've stayed here twice and it's the only rental we've ever been in that didn't have at least some stock of these items. The other downside is checkout is at 9am sharp. Coming from the West Coast makes it even harder.

Relaxing family vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband, our 20 month old daughter and I had a fabulous and relaxing stay at Tom and Kathy's Fisherman's Cove condo. They were responsive to all of the questions we had leading up to our stay and when we arrived at the condo everything was clean and looked just like the pictures on VRBO.

The condo's location right on the beach was excellent, especially since we have a young child and needed to take short beach trips instead of making it a whole day excursion. Tom and Kathy provided a beach umbrella, chairs and plenty of beach toys for us to use, which our daughter loved. We loved that there were three restaurants we could easily walk to from the condo and we loved the laid-back, relaxing atmosphere of Turtle Beach. We did take the short drive over to Siesta Key Beach once and into the town of Siesta Key once for dinner, but we preferred the Turtle Beach calm and relaxation.

One more thing we loved about this condo was being able to watch beautiful sunsets and hear the ocean waves from the screened lanai porch that overlooked the ocean. We would love to stay here again and highly recommend it!
