Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cabin in Sevierville - Beneath the Stars

Log cabin, 2 Bedrooms, bunk beds + sofa sleepers, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

VIEWS, VIEWS AND MORE VIEWS! Find yourself BENEATH THE STARS, gazing at the moon, stars and mountain tops! This premier quality, professionally decorated log cabin has it all - luxurious, spacious accommodations (over 2,000 square feet), mountain views, and stars so close you might think you touch one. This cabin will be your favorite family destination in the Smoky Mountains!

You can catch your favorite team or watch a movie on one of the four satellite TV's. Kids can have fun with the Playstation 2 and the assortment of games, watch movies on one of the two DVD players, or listen to favorite CD's in the game room while playing on the 5-in-1 game table.

Cabin has two private master bedroom suites. Upstairs you can rest your head on a plush, king-size hickory twig canopy bed by night and then, fully-rested, enjoy your cup of coffee on the balcony while drinking in all the sights and sounds of nature surrounding you.

The upstairs master bedroom also features a bubbly two-person jetted whirlpool tub and large sitting area with queen-size sleeper sofa and a sassafras rocking chair.

The main floor features an open and spacious design and includes a living room, kitchen, half-bath, and laundry area. Relax in front of the large flat screen TV and stacked-stone gas fireplace. Enjoy a meal on the unique, Amish-made log table and chairs. From the living room, you can access the great wrap-around deck where you can enjoy the soothing, big hot tub, oversized log rocking chairs, or grill up your favorite steaks on the gas grill.

Downstairs in the walk-out basement, the kids will love the twin-size log bunk beds, CD player and radio, 5-in-1 game table, Playstation 2 with games, watching movies on the TV with DVD player or sitting on the log furniture outside on the patio. The second master suite is also located in the lower level and features a gorgeous king-sized bed, dresser, and large bathroom. And just to make sure you have room for the whole family the second queen sleeper sofa is located in the game room on the lower level. (No closet available in this bedroom downstairs).

BENEATH THE STARS is located in a private gated log home community (about 15 minutes from downtown), UP IN THE MOUNTAINS, this cabin is not easily reached by low sports cars. This resort has 24 hour guards, swimming pool (in-season), tennis courts and more. It is close enough to Dollywood and the Parkway to be convenient, and just far enough away to feel like you're 'in the mountains'. (Car passes are required to enter this resort.)

Stay at BENEATH THE STARS once and we promise, you'll want to return year after year.

NOTE: This cabin is HIGH up on a mountain ridge, and has a paved driveway, but it is not for the faint of heart.

About Rachelle

My family found ourselves returning to the Smoky Mountains several times a year to vacation. We loved renting cabins and always felt more 'at home' when we rented cabins. We decided to purchase our own log cabin in the mountains and would love to share our cozy cabin with your family. We are sure you'll love it!

Rachelle purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Rachelle chose Tennessee

Located in Shagbark Log Community made BENEATH THE STARS a good choice! We love the safety and security that comes with the gated community. We also fell in love with the views from this cabin - really was the best that we looked at purchasing.

What makes this cabin unique

The quiet nights can't be beat - Owls and crickets fill the night with song! ENJOY THE CONVENIENCE OF TWO SEPARATE KING SIZE SUITES WITH FULL BATH plus another 1/2 bath! Separate game room in the basement the kids will be sure to LOVE! Cabin in in close proximity to many popular attractions! Our family loves Dollywood and would recommend it to everyone! There are great shows to see - something for everyone!

Nice cabin, steeeeeeeep hill

  • 4 of 5

On the inside, the cabin is very nice. Having the two bunk beds was great for my children. There were six in our group, and the cabin accommodated us well. I wouldn't have wanted more than one vehicle there. The hill going up is steep, but my Chrysler minivan did pull it. If you get car sick easily look elsewhere. A couple of times going up the ridge to the cabin my wife got queasy. On the outside it could use some TLC. The banisters close to the hot tub are pretty shaky. The view is wonderful if that is what you are looking for. Good cabin all around.

Beautiful view, plenty of room

  • 4 of 5

The view is beautiful and there was plenty of room in the cabin for the 10 people in our crew. Not impressed with the driveway, it was fairly steep and small, but the cabin made up for it. Roads were a little confusing but after driving there a couple times it was easy. Can't wait to get back to the Great Smokey Mountains!!

Perched on a high steep mountain top!

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed this cabin very much despite the steepness of the driveway. The description of the driveway is understated. We had a minivan with 5 occupants and luggage in tow and could not get up the full driveway without a lot of effort. Our tires spinned and we had to have a running start. The first day we parked on the lower pad and tried walking up the driveway to the front porch. I had sandals on, and couldn't walk up. I had to walk the driveway with sneakers, then change in the car to sandals. The next couple of nights we made it up to the top, tires spinning and squealing but our minivan was without luggage. However, we had to do a 20 point turn to get the van turned around on the upper pad. It scared the children and our grandmother, so we just parked on the lower pad the rest of the stay. The cabin was comfortable and has all necessary utensils, appliances, towels needed. The lower master bedroom does not have access to a closet, so we had to use a drying rack we found in the laundry closet on the main level to hang clothes. The hot tub was running when we arrived, and not having a desire to use, we turned it off. It was leaking from underneath and had been for awhile as the joists showed. We found that the floors had not been swept for awhile. I swept up previous occupants litter and documented with photos. The game room Dish remote would not work with the television. We had to use the main living room's Dish remote to control the cable box in the game room. Most of the lamps and nightlights had burned out bulbs. The bulb in the big lamp in the basement Master bedroom had been broken off and the metal casing was stuck in the lamp. After searching for extra bulbs, we found them in a cabinet above the pantry and replaced all the burnt out bulbs ourselves. The view from the cabin is beautiful, a little scary for those afraid of heights. The pool for the resort is not close to the cabin. You will have to drive there because of distance. The cabin next door is very close to this cabin, but it has trees and shrubs that give some privacy. We appreciated that the owners were very quick to respond by email. Cabin is relatively close to the main street of Pigeon Forge. Due to the winding narrow road to cabin and scary driveway, we did not feel comfortable driving to cabin at night. It was a downfall because we had to head back to the cabin before nightfall. On a scale of 5 stars, I would give it a 3 due to the items mentioned in this review.

Owner's Response: Our cabin is located on the ridge of a mountain... the driveway is steep and the roads are curvy and wind around. The roads in the Smoky Mountains are generally very curvy and often steep. If you want to stay in a cabin in the mountains, expect mountain roads. Our previous renters had not reported any issues with the hot tub and it was repaired as soon as it was reported to us and our maintenance crew. We apologize for any cleaning issues, but we were not aware of the situation until this review was posted. We have never had any complaints about the cleanliness of the cabin in the past. We would have been more than happy to address the issue if we were aware of the problem at the time.

Very nice cabin, a little inconvenient

  • 3 of 5

This cabin is very nice and plenty of room for a group of 5-6 people. The location is nice, but a little too far away from activities and amenities for our liking. The steep driveway was difficult for our vehicle to maneuver and for our children to walk up and down. Great for a group of young adults with energy and a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Very Clean and Comfy!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was extremely well kept and well stocked. There wasn't anything we needed that we could find there at the cabin. The cabin was very close to all the main attraction yet, secluded and peaceful. It was very easy to find. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and watching the stars. Will definitely rent this cabin again.
