Beautiful Cabin Over The Water On Long Pond With Attitude Adjustment Deck

Long Pond Camp is situated upon a peninsula surrounded by water in the Western Adirondack Mountains. Long Pond is about one and a half miles long with many surrounding ponds such as Round Pond, Rock Pond, Trout Pond, Clear Pond and Mud Pond which are all within an easy walking distance. Jake's Pond is a beautiful, longer walk on one of many marked trails. Some of the ponds can be paddled to directly or paddle down the Oswegatchie River to Rock Pond, Trout Pond or Mud Pond. There are maps at Camp for your use to personalize your own Adirondack Adventure. For snowmobiling, Camp is located near Lewis County #5 and #8 trails - all beautiful trails to anywhere in the state.

The cabin has three bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, screened front porch, dining and living area and its own private 'Attitude Adjustment Deck' right over the water. The cabin offers a wood stove for the cooler Adirondack months.

Camp sets on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by water. A screened porch and open deck overlooking the beautiful Adirondacks. No matter what the season, every day is beautiful. The summer sun off the water, winter all in white or the fall with its intense colors. The Camp is surrounded by huge white pines, hemlock woods and maple hardwoods for color and fragrance. Camp is located 1/4 mile on a private driveway off peaceful Long Pond Road. Camp is approximately ten miles from the Village of Croghan.

Included with the cabin are two kayaks, a canoe and a rowboat are available for your enjoyment. Plus, Camp has a wonderful sandy beach which is perfect for swimming. Enjoy a game of horseshoes or a campfire by the pond at night.

Rest assured, the boathouse and main house are completely separate with their own parking, beaches, campfires, docks and grills. Please see Listing #3560285 for details on the main house. We offer a discounted rate for the cabin per week if rented with the main house. This makes Camp perfect for family times or entertaining guests who want their own space. About Erin

We are so grateful for our wonderful, outstanding guests who we have had the privilege of sharing our homes with! THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!!! Dave and Erin

Why Erin chose Croghan

Long Pond has been a big part of our family for over 50 years. It is one of the most beautiful, relaxing places in the world. We love being there and hate to leave. It is everything the Adirondacks should be.

What makes this cabin unique

Long Pond is a treasure in the Adirondack Mountains. The "Attitude Adjustment" deck sits over the water surrounded by beautiful hemlock, white and red pine trees. The Long Pond area offers endless walking trails with waterfalls, amazing kayaking and fishing literally right outside your door! Long Pond offers everything of the Adirondack Mountains without being the overcrowded, typical tourist spot. All the land surrounding Long Pond is owned by the Oswegatchie Education Center except for our property and only five other properties on the other sides of Long Pond so it will never be overdeveloped keeping Long Pond amazingly unique and special!

Everything we could have asked for and more!

  • 5 of 5

We fell in love the minute we turned into the driveway! It’s absolutely beautiful and the boat house was perfect for us. We kayaked, swam and hiked and tired ourselves out. Erin and Dave were so kind and helpful.

We are already trying to plan another trip back!

Beautiful quiet serene

  • 5 of 5

Loved the driveway, knew we would love the house. So quiet, so much to see and enjoy, wish we had more time. Took the canoe out, watched a loon fishing, went to mud pond and up the outlet from there. Later hiked to the falls from the end of the road and got to watch a beaver then continued up the road to trout falls. Even got to see the rubber duck race on Sunday!!!!! Your house was great, what a beautiful apot. We will be back when we can stay longer. Thank you😘😘🙏🏻🙏🏻

If you like a remote location on a beautiful Adirondack Pond (Lake by my standards), this is the spot.

Weather terrible for all but 12 hours of our stay, but loved the cabin and surroundings despite relentless rain. Had looked forward to swimming, but alas the weather didn't cooperate. Enjoyed paddling on the pond.

Owner most helpful and accommodating!

Relaxation at Long Last !

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I had the best weekend, even though we didn't stay at long pond...We actually went to one of the owner's other properties because she (Erin) was considerate of our needs for the weekend. The " French Pond" cabin was wonderful, like taking a step back in time to when times were simpler. We got to enjoy being in a very spacious 2100 square foot cabin with AWESOME earlier 1900's style stove. Which was my favorite thing in the cabin, not only did it heat the majority of the cabin. We did our cooking, on it, used as an excuse to snuggle up close in one room My wife and I both agree if you are looking for a vintage style outing of what times were like when people actually loved each other instead of chasing the next dollar try one of the Hardy's cabins. You will not regret it! Thanks

Great hosts, beautiful lake

  • 4 of 5

We just returned from a week's stay. The camp is rustic, but had all we needed. Not having to bring our kayaks with us was wonderful! We had a great time paddling in the nearby lakes, and hiking through the woods. Unfortunately, the toilet was temperamental, the big camp across the lake had people who did not adhere to quiet hours, and the guests at the main house had a dog that barked...a lot. The owners told us that the mattresses are going to be replaced soon: once this is done, the place will truly be wonderful!

Lovely place and people.

  • 5 of 5

The boat house is clean and cozy. It is ON the water, which is clean and very swimmable. There are perfect beaches right on the property. You have free use of kayaks, canoes, and a rowboat. A big old turtle comes around for snacks every day. You will see and hear loons! Very nice trails all around. We met the owners and they are charming, thoughtful, easy to do business with, and thoroughly decent. Give us more like them! :) The boat house and the big house are in sight of each other but private. There is a well-run children's camp across the pond. You will hear and see camp activities at various times during the day when in session--a surprise that we got over quickly.
