We call our home Montana Cliffs, because it has a remarkable, unobstructed view of Livingston below. It has large glass windows on three sides so you can enjoy the spectacular view of surrounding mountains. Filled with light, it is one of the most pleasant homes in Livingston, Montana. It has one of the best panoramic views in town. Check out the picture of the view at dusk in Livingston.
Add a wrap around deck, a barbeque and outdoor dining, and you have your personal paradise in Montana's paradise. We are close to the best that Montana has to offer. About 60 miles south is Yellowstone Park. Visit world famous Chico Hot Spring Resort for a soak on the way down or back. If you love skiing or mountain snow, we are only 26 miles from world class skiing at Bridger Bowl.
The great room (living room in simpler terms) is about 40 feet by 20 with vaulted ceilings about 18 feet high. The many large windows and plants make the room bright and comfortable. On cool days, the solar heated home may need a boost using the gas fired fireplace. We are at 4.500 feet and the nights, even in high summer, can get down to the high 50s. Stained glass adds a few colored beams and add sparkle to the light.
A small efficient kitchen, bathroom with a shower/bathtub, bedroom with a queen bed, and laundry room round out the first floor. The bedroom includes another flat screen TV.
On the second floor, are two bedrooms, one with a queen and the smaller with a full bed. This gives you the extra room you need for the family. The second floor includes its own bath with shower.
* The house has excellent broadband Wi-Fi and a connected computer is provided.
* NetFlix, and Amazon Prime movies are available on both TVs.
* The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to feed 8 people, including spices, oil, etc.
In the Summer months, this part of Montana is a Mecca for tourist, and most hotels, motels, etc. are full. If you want to secure a place to stay, you need to plan ahead. Text, call or email me for availability.
We love dogs, and have Rosy, a Golden Retriever, as a cherished member of our family. Dogs are welcome. The back yard is perfect to relieve your dog.
If you have a very large group, there is a garden apartment with its own entrance below the main part of the house. It sleeps 4 and if free, you can rent both. Again, text me for more information and availability.
Note that one other property shares this building. There is a garden apartment property below the house that may or may not be rented. This should not effect your privacy as the apartment has its own separate entrance and parking area behind the building. You only share the laundry room which has its own entrance.
Be aware the house is not little child proof. If you have young children you will
want to keep a close eye on them.

This is one of the best homes in Montana. It is light, airy, filled with thriving plants, and has a spectacular view of historic Livingston below. I have lived here for 25 years; raised two, well loved boys here. The home is filled with wonderful memories and great times. I hope you can add to those times and memories.
Sit on the large deck eating hot BBQ, fresh off the grill a few feet away. Watch the orange and red alpenglow bath the tops of the mountains across Yellowstone valley, and you will understand what mountain life is about. You will never forget it. You will never forget paradise.
Pros: Owners were very friendly and accommodating. Great views with lots of windows. Comfortable space for relaxing.
Cons: Home was somewhat dated and floor in the bathroom creaks loudly. When the downstairs apartment is rented it is not very sound proof. I could do without religious material spread about when I am on vacation.
We stayed two nights for our son's birthday and had a very nice mini-vacation. Lovely house with huge windows facing south toward the Absaroka mountain range and Livingston, Montana. Close to town and only 30 minutes from Chico Hot Springs!
We loved staying in Livingston and this vrbo was the perfect location for our travels in northern Yellowstone. The living area was inviting with an extended TV selection, if that's what you enjoy.
My concerns were the deck area. Quite wobbly! This home was well stocked but also contained lots of personal property. Bed linen was fresh and clean although one room had a "pet" smell. Overall. A great experience.
Our party of 6 people (and 2 dogs) stayed at this home while we were visiting Yellowstone NP. It is a quick 45 minute drive into the park, and very scenic along the way. Also, Livingston is a great little town to visit - we enjoyed getting away from the crowded national park in the evenings. You absolutely cannot beat the views that this house has to offer! It is situated on a hill overlooking the town of Livingston, and the mountains in the backdrop are just absolutely breath taking. You don't miss anything with the floor to ceiling windows in this home. It was exactly what I had in mind when I booked a vacation rental in Montana. The owner was a great host, very informative and responded quickly when we had questions before arriving. All of us enjoyed our stay very much, and would recommend this rental to anyone visiting the area.

Just 60 miles North of Yellowstone Park, Livingston is the first major city on highway 89 coming out of the north entrance.
World class skiing is only 31 miles, 48 minutes, away at Bridger Bowl. Bridger is the only non-profit ski resort in the US. Wonderful skiing, reasonable lift rates.
