Why Rich and Mary Lesenski chose Washington County
We chose this property at the foothills of the Adirondacks on Summit Lake to build our home away from home to relax and get away from the everyday grind that life throws at you. Even after a "weekend at the lake" you feel refreshed. A good book, friends by the camp fire, fishing, kayaking, sightseeing.... It's all here and then some. Come and enjoy!

Can't wait to come back to the lake!
Can't give enough stars to this property! My husband and I take a trip up to the Catskills/Adirondacks/Berkshires every fall and this is one of our top rentals of all time! Pictures are an accurate representation of what to expect. House is immaculately clean and has all you would need to enjoy your stay. The property is private and has view/access to a lovely lake that is teeming with wildlife. A short drive to both Saratoga and the southern edge of Lake George make this property a great location as a jump off point for all of the typical fall activities that you could hope to enjoy. The man cave in the basement was the perfect answer to the soggy weather we had on the first two days of our trip… The pool table and dartboard provided plenty of entertainment while we warmed with room with the wood-burning stove. After the weather cleared, a day spent at Saratoga, and another at Lake George, were perfectly accented by a night by the fire pit! Kitchen is fully stocked with spices and all cooking equipment you would need to whip up a great dinner. Rich and Mary, the owners, couldn’t have been nicer and it was a pleasure to talk to them on the phone when we had a couple of questions about the house.
Make sure you check out Lakeside Farms in Ballston Spa (right off 87N) when you venture out to Saratoga, or on your way to the property. Fabulous breakfast/lunch spot with attached country market with fresh produce, old-school candy shop, amazing baked goods and all the goodies a country store should have. Definitely leave room for the fresh donuts that come right off the conveyer belt and the warm apple cider!! Another great breakfast spot is a short drive away in Greenwich, NY, Greenwich Village Café & Bakery. On the way you pass the Hannaford supermarket, so you can stock up on what you need for the house, and next door to the café is an adorable boutique with a great selection of knit sweaters, scarves, etc and a fabulous Holiday shop (Downstairs products change seasonally and there is a “Christmas attic” on the second floor with anything you could ever want to purchase for your home to decorate for Christmas).
Thank you to Rich and Mary for sharing your property! We will be back next year!
Comfortable and roomy lakeside vacation home
I rented this property as a vacation spot for myself, my daughter, grandsons, granddaughter and great grandsons while we attended a family reunion in nearby Greenwich. The home is on a small lake, very private and completely furnished. There is a fire pit which we enjoyed a couple of nights, kayaks, games, videos, a hammock and many other amenities.
We traveled the short distance to the Lake George area a couple of days to take in the activities there but could have easily spent all our time at the lake.
Rich and Mary are very pleasant and easy to work with. Next time we're looking at a stay in the area we'll definitely look at Tucker's Cove.

Peaceful Retreat to Visit Nearby Family - Just Perfect!!!
My elderly mother moved to a Senior complex in Fort Edward and we needed a nice roomy place to stay while visiting her. (The motels in the area are just awful and we wanted to stay near her). Our family of 4 (two adults, two teenagers) was quite comfortable in this lovely peaceful spacious house. It has all of the amenities that you would want, and more!
The house is clean and the beds are comfortable. The photos are totally accurate. We enjoyed the lake and the "man cave" basement with its lovely pool table. Rich and Mary are congenial hosts, and Mary has decorated the house with a lot of cute country gear. We got to visit my mother, and even bring her back to the house for a barbecue and s'more making! (The powerful grill is fantastic and the fire pit is like being at camp!) The house never got too hot because of the ceiling fans and window fans provided. A couple of the bedrooms do have air conditioning, but we didn't need to use it.
Our daughters loved being able to play pool and darts and relax on the lake. The house has all of the cooking utensils and pots needed. Don't miss the nearby Battenkill Creamery and its yummy ice cream and fresh milk! This is a good launching point for visiting Vermont, Lake George, or Saratoga Springs.
We will definitely be back!
A beautiful home on the lake in NY farm country
My family of 5 spent a week at this lovely home in NY farm country and could not have been more pleased with our choice! Rich was wonderful to work with, all descriptions and photos are accurate, the beds were all very comfortable. We took full advantage of the pool table, dart board, kayaks, grill and felt so at home with all the kitchen supplies. We went to the Saratoga Racecourse twice, Pontoon boating at Lake George, Cooperstown for baseball, the Natural Stone Bridge and Caves in Pottersville, and spent a good deal of time on Summit Lake, our backyard playground. Thank you Rich!!
Everything as promised
Stayed here the last weekend in June for a small reunion with 4 friends. The house and property was everything that was promised and my friends and I had a great time relaxing and rememissing. The owner was easy to deal with and accomidating. The house is exactley as in the pictures and very clean. Would defiantley stay here again.
Quiet and relaxing!
My thoughtful husband planned a getaway during school vacation. We have 3 boys and they loved the sledding and they even tried ice fishing. The house was in perfect shape and clean. The area is beautiful, easy to get to, everything accurate with amenities, the owner Mary was a sweetheart to deal with. The kids want to try regular fishing in the summer. Thanks for a great week.
