Guests have access to a private beach, dock, and deck all with Westerly views.
While our house is attached to the apartment, (sharing only one wall) there is a separate entrance allowing for plenty of privacy yet the comfort of knowing we're here if you need anything.
The apartment is conveniently located just 25 minutes from Burlington and 60 minutes from Montreal. Canoe, kayak and stand up paddleboard rentals are available just half a mile away. Hiking trails within walking distance. Great biking out the door.
While we hope you are here to relax and enjoy the Lake, there is WIFI available.
We love where we live, please adhere to the following rules to help us ensure we can continue renting to people like you!
Please remove your shoes upon entering. If there is a chance of rain, please make sure the windows and doors are closed and secured so water doesn't ruin the window sills or door frames. If something breaks or spills, please inform us so we can promptly address the situation. Please remember while this is a vacation for you, we (and our neighbors live here year round) so please be respectful. And finally, please note we do not allow smoking or pets ANYWHERE on our property, this applies to you as our renter AND any guests you have over during your stay.
Thank you for helping us keep our property beautiful!
Nice apartment on beautiful Lake Champlain. A little far from Burlington, but a nice place to stay. Clean and comfortable.
This property that we rented in Grand Isle was exactly as described and we were very happy with it . It has a beautiful view and was very quiet ! Also it was a clean home and the homeowners were pleasant and friendly to deal with . The layout of the house made it very comfortable for two couples to stay there .
There were two great restaurants in the area , North Hero House, and McKees Pub.
The reason we gave this home a 4 star rating was because of a few minor issues that we spoke to the homeowners about when we checked out and they were receptive to our criticism. One was the lighting outside the home on the walkway ,and the other was a problem with the lock on the door to the deck outside . But overall we would definetly recommend this rental .
Betsy and Matt were wonderful hosts. The accommodations were perfect for what we were looking for. The house was clean and well sell set up for the two of us, although if you bring family members or another couple you will have plenty of room and privacy. There are 2 full baths, washer and dryer, dishwasher and the sheets, towels are included plus the kitchen set up for cooking (including a grill) you will need to bring very little.
The view is amazing from the deck and the dock. The water was very low when we stayed (all of NE is in a draught) so swimming would have been a challenge if we decided to do so. We spent some evenings hanging out on the deck with a wonderful sunset and a bottle of wine - perfect!
We arrived there was a heatwave in Vermont and the house does not have AC, so if you are going in the summer during a hot spell be aware of that. They do have fans for your use, which are very noisy. We did bring our own fan, so it was ok but not great for sleeping. Once the heat wave left, the nights were much more comfortable. The WIFI was spotty and a bit slow, Matt came to work on it, but it was still a bit slow. Also, there is no TV which did not matter to us, but some people may not care for that.
If you are looking for a really good bagel - make sure you go to Wally's Bagel Shop in South Hero. Dinner at the Blue Paddle is a must - also in South Hero. As for local places of interest visit Shelburne Museum, it's an all day event even two days - loads of things to see and explore. If you want some fun for shopping and dining go to Burlington Church Street, very cool place. UVM is another great place to walk around and take in. If you have young children the Shelburne Farm is the place to visit. There are state beaches and many free places to park and enjoy the lake for swimming and picnicking. As for adult beverages - well.... there are so many breweries plus a couple of vineyards too. Lets just say 4 days in the area were not enough!
We highly recommend this Homeaway place. We throughly enjoyed our stay and we look forward to coming back another time for another long weekend!
Beautiful deck and view. House stocked with everything from househild items to cookware, a grill. Comfortable bed. Great location. Friendly owners.
Beautiful location! Sunsets are amazing with the western view. Really would love to see it in the summer time!
