Two 2-bedroom units in a semi-detached house are available for short-term and long-term rental in the upscale Kampala suburb of Muyenga. Each unit has a large open-concept living room/dining area, 2 bedrooms (with queen beds covered with mosquito nets), 2 bathrooms (en suite) and a fully equipped kitchen. The living room has a 5-seater sofa and an entertainment unit with stereo and cable TV. The kitchen has a fridge, gas/electric cooker, microwave, toaster, cooking utensils, kettle, cups, plates, and cutlery and serving dishes. The house has big compound, lots of parking space and is located at the end of the street in a very quiet and secure neighborhood with 24-hour security, providing a child/family-friendly environment. We offer free WIFI access for basic Internet usage. We provide a 4G LTE modem that connects up to 10 devices. Guests planning to use the Internet heavily can purchase and load extra data bundles from the service provider (OrgangeUganda).
The house is easily accessible by public means; you can get a commuter minibus or taxi within a few minutes. It is located less than 10 minutes by car from Kampala city centre and approximately 40 km from Entebbe airport. Upon request, we can arrange to pick you up to and from Entebbe International Airport and organize tours around the city at very reasonable prices.
The house is within a short walking distance to very nice restaurants along Muyenga Tank Hill Road and to the bustling Kabalagala suburb with many supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, pubs and night clubs. It is also close to International Hospital Kampala, Kampala International University, Cavendish University, Ggaba beach and the renowned is Munyonyo Speke Resort on the shores of Lake Victoria which has child-friendly swimming pools, a play area and a beachfront where children can skate and ride bikes.
Muyenga is an upscale residential neighborhood; home to senior political leaders, senior civil servants, expatriates and prominent business executives. The area has several amenities, schools, gym and recreational facilities, including Muyenga Club with good facilities for aerobics, gym, sauna/steam baths, massage and swimming. There is also an amusement park (Former Didi's World Entertainment Center) with kids/family rides, swings, water slides, and a large auditorium/ wonder cinema less than 2 km away in Kansanga. On top of Muyenga hill, one gets a stunning view of Kampala central district and Lake Victoria.
The quoted daily/weekly rates cover costs for basic utilities and services (i.e. hot/cold water, electricity, cable TV, WiFi, daily house cleaning, garbage collection and a night watchman). For long-term stays (over 1 month) a lower rate can be negotiated but the costs for electricity, water and WiFi have to be covered separately.
