Newly remodeled serene tri-level creekside handicap accessible home in the Santa Monica Mountains with bamboo floors, expansive grounds, meditation gardens and labyrinth, swimming pool, gas fire pit, and BBQ. Comfortably sleeps up to 11 people in the main house, camping cottages can accommodate an additional 8 people on double bed leather futon sofas and bunks across the creek from main house and pool house bath. This charming home was owned by a roadhouse music lover and was part of the American Folk music scene where many household names visited and played long into the night. Price ranges from $997-$1997 for weekday rental depending on number of guests.
Four of five bedrooms and the great room have French doors opening to the beautiful wrap around redwood deck that encompasses the home. California native gardens and grounds include multiple areas for private meditation, yoga, and quiet contemplation.

Guests enjoy a great deal of autonomy. Anam Cara is a private residence, host lives on the property as a caretaker, works in Hollywood, and can be reached via text.

Pool towels provided (cabinet left of front door). Fully equipped chef kitchen with professional appliances.
No burning wood, candles or anything else on the property. SMOKING is not permitted indoors or ANYWHERE except in the smoking area adjacent to the main driveway gate; dispose of all butts in sand-filled cans provided in the smoking area. $250 minimum cleaning fee will be levied for doing otherwise. Topanga is an extreme high fire risk area and smoking is prohibited in and around the State Park.
LED candles only in bedrooms, absolutely no burning flames. Guests are welcome to enjoy personal music indoors or at quiet levels outdoors. Outdoor areas (pool, fire pit, decks, etc.) close at 11:00pm; quiet hours are 11:00pm to 8:00am...please be respectful of my home and neighbors, and be courteous to other guests.

Topanga is the jewel of Los Angeles. I am amazed every day that I live in this beautiful setting with a community of warm hearted friends. The property has very peaceful and calm energy and is in a dark skies wilderness area immediately adjacent to all of Los Angeles.
Chlorine-free natural swimming pool is beach slopped and pebble-bottomed with a large waterfall. Hike into the largest U.S. park within a city from my driveway.
Enjoy the bohemian vibe of Los Angeles County’s crown jewel, Topanga, renowned for stunning vistas, Topanga State Park, walk to wilderness area hiking, biking, and horse trails; ride or drive to beautiful beaches; 10 minutes to Malibu, 20 minutes to downtown Santa Monica, and 25 miles from Hollywood. Topanga boasts many local alternative healers, health food stores, quaint boutiques, non-GMO and other dining option; Theatricum Botanicum, an acclaimed outdoor Shakespeare theater; Froggy’s pub and restaurant with occasional live music is just a 1 minute walk across the street.
PARK ALL THE WAY FORWARD and LEFT OF POOL or Right side of garage door, TAKE ONLY ROOM ENOUGH FOR ONE VEHICLE in each unmarked space…leave as much room as possible for other vehicles AND TO TURN AROUND IN THE DRIVEWAY. Always turn your vehicle around to pull forward out of driveway (blind cross traffic from Canyon Trail). Abundant additional parking is located across the Blvd. in gravel area and along the Blvd. north of next door neighbor's driveway. No parking along the Blvd. in front of fence between the driveways (fire hydrant). No parking on left side of garage door, this is my parking space. Other than loading and unloading, no more than 4 vehicles for your reservation can be in the driveway.

From the 101 drive South on Topanga Canyon Blvd./State Route 27 for approximately 6 miles, located just South of Theatricum Botanicum and Topanga Creek Bicycles. From Highway 1/Pacific Coast Highway drive north on Topanga Canyon Blvd. for approximately 6 miles, located immediately North of Froggy's Topanga Fish Market restaurant and pub.
From LAX: Take 405 Fwy North to 10 Fwy West towards Santa Monica, which merges onto Pacific Coast Hwy 1 North. Continue north for approx. 6 miles to Topanga Canyon Blvd. and turn right. Follow Topanga for approx. 6 miles to 1178 Topanga Canyon Blvd.
