This Bonaire villa is named for the owners favorite St. Martin restaurant, and Karibuni villa captures the same relaxed Caribbean feel as its namesake. Set on Bonaire, a Dutch Caribbean island made popular for its fantastic snorkeling sights, consistently warm temperatures and beautiful sunsets, this getaway offers one of the best waterfront accesses of all our Bonaire villas.
An expansive terrace sits directly on the sea, and offers plenty of places to unwind and relax. Youll find a shady, thatch-roof gazebo with sofas and a hammock, and comfy lounge beds and chairs underneath wide umbrellas and surrounded by tropical plants. At the heart is a pool, perfect for escaping the heat. Be sure to plan alfresco meals out here in the dining areaa charcoal grill keeps things casual.
With 3,659 square feet of living space, the villa is contemporary and sleek, with colorful accents. The open-air living room boasts panoramic views of the water, and sits next to a modern, fully equipped kitchen. Its stocked with appliances that range from a dishwasher to an oversized stainless steel fridge and a coffee maker. Theres a breakfast bar and lots of counter space.
This villas five double bedrooms can easily accommodate up to 10 guests. On the ground level youll find four bedrooms with double beds, while a fifth offers ultimate privacy upstairs. Three suites feature ensuite bathrooms, while the remaining two share a bathroom with shower. All suites boast air conditioning, mosquito nets and either garden or ocean views.
You can step right into the sea from this villas deck ladders, or if youre looking for sandy shores, the nearest beach is just a ten-minute drive away. For a night out, head into the capital Kralendijk for a memorable dinner, only 12 minutes away by car.

Eight of us enjoyed our stay at Karibuni in March, 2014. The house is located at the end of a quiet street, and roughly just ten minutes from town. It was a great location. Water access from the house (and ladder) was easy for all guests; you can snorkel and dive right from the property. Interior and exterior furniture is very nice; the kitchen was fun for our group cooking parties. The pool is small but huge decking and lots of furniture made for some fun times poolside.
I'd recommend the villa for group shares and for families. There's a lot of room to go around. If you like your privacy, beware the bathrooms, which do not have locks. But that's my only complaint for this lovely home with a great location.
