We visit the forgotten coast yearly, and have fallen in love with this adorable condo. It is in the center of the town, which make it very easy to walk to night life, great restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, etc. The condo is very clean and the customer service is excellent. They go above and beyond to make it a great stay.
We will return undoubtedly.
We stayed in Apalachicola for four wonderful days. Having never been there before, we were somewhat surprised at the size of the town. It is very small and walking to everything is possible. We didnt use our car but once during our stay. It was wonderful! A working fishing village on a beautiful river and bay!
The apartment was in a great location in the middle of everything! It was an upstairs unit where the door to the outside didn't lock. This made my daughter and I rather nervous everytime we came up the stairs. It may not be a problem if the stairs were straight up to the apartment but they turn and go up about five more stairs before you enter the apartment. On top of that the apartment door needs a new lock. It is almost impossible to get into the apartment until you have tried five or six times. Locks are cheap so PLEASE get a new one for your guest.
Once you get into the apartment you will be pleasantly surprised by it's size and cleanliness. This is a very old building so you expect some wear and tear and that is OK! All rooms have very high ceilings and lots of large windows. The furniture fits the date of the apartment. Everything you could want is in the kitchen.
The large bedroom has a comfortable king bed and a nice size attached bath. The window shades are very old and will not go up. This room NEEDS better shades or heavy curtains for sleeping. This room is not dark at night.
The small bedroom is very small but workable. The bed is TERRIBLE! You can feel the Springs inside the mattress. Needs a box spring and mattress. Attached bath was small but good.
Every window needs replacing with quality glass. The road noise is very loud. I wore ear plugs to sleep. Highway 98 is one half block from the apartment so truck noise is very loud .
From my review it sounds like I hated the apartment. But just the opposite is true. I loved staying there and if the three things I addressed; mattress, windows and door locks were replaced, I would give it a 10.
Extremely easy to work with and straight forward with property details. Place is very clean and a great location.
Thank you Kay. We enjoyed our stay!
Located in the heart of Apalachicola, a block from the water, and walking distance from great restaurants, shops, and a brewery! This immaculate apartment was perfect for our 5 day get-away! The kitchen was well equipped, the linens fresh and plentiful, and the wall art was in keeping with the location above a 100+ year old theatre. We loved everything about this rental and look forward to possibly returning in the future!
We greatly enjoyed the apartment and used it as a means to renew our love of the Forgotten Coast for a couple days. The accommodations were excellent and the location in the special small town of Appalachicola brought back years of long ago and yet it all remains somehow the same. We will most certainly return in the coming years.
