This is the vacation home you’ve been looking for a restful and rejuvenating escape. Enjoy all the comforts of home while enjoying a restful vacation. This a great house to reconnect with visiting family and friends. Can’t fit them all in the house to sleep? Across the street is the Four Winds Motel and the Olympia Lodge. Extra guests can sleep right across the street and visit during the day. We have AT&T cell phones and get great service at the house. I can’t vouch for any other services, but I would think they’d be fine.
We have two little dogs and love them to pieces. We know it’s hard to leave pets at home when traveling so we are pet friendly and would love to hear about your furry companions to make sure our home would work for them. It is important that you pick up after your pets, as all good pet owners do, otherwise it will affect your deposit return. We hope you enjoy your stay at our Green Mountain Getaway, please share it with friends, family and co-workers.

My husband Brian and I live in CT and purchased our Green Mountain Getaway October 2014. We have been rehabbing the home and enjoying it ever since. We have visited Manchester, VT every year for the past 22 yrs. always wishing to own a home there. After our 15 year old son fought cancer in 2013 and became a survivor we learned the lesson to be in the present. We knew how much we loved Manchester and VT and set out to find a special place to spend time. We found it! We love it! And we want to share it with others!
Leslie Jermainne purchased this house in 2014
We love a lot of things about this property. The view of the mountain, the 2 acres of field, the hand hewn timbers in the open Living Room/Kitchen/ Dining Area, the cathedral ceiling, the cozy fireplace and rough sawn wood that adds to the aura of the country. We love the pine floors, the balcony as a great getaway to hang with our son. We love to sit out on the deck and enjoy the view. We love that we are just under 3 miles out of the center of town for the quiet, but we love how quick it is to run in to the grocery store, pick up some coffee at The Spiral Press, or enjoy a meal at the great restaurants. We also love that this is so close to Bromley and only 12 miles to Stratton! The perfect spot!
I think our home is unique because it is much more warm and relaxing than a two bed motel room with a mini fridge. You feel like you walk in and it becomes your own private vacation home. It's the BEST!
We spent two nights in this delightful home! We had a local wedding to attend, and the space and amenities were perfect for us! Upon entering, it is clean, bright and open! We felt cozy and relaxed sipping on big mugs of hot coffee and enjoying the view! The upstairs living area was perfect for me to be able to cook and be a part of the conversation happening in front of the fire. We brought along our little dachshund and he loved the fenced in back yard! The bedrooms downstairs were spacious and comfortable! You are in a great location, close to shopping and restaurants! We want to come back!
We spent four nights in this absolutely perfect home. There are so many good things to say, I am not sure where to start! It was immaculate, tastefully furnished, beautifully decorated -- the use of old wood throughout makes you know you're in Vermont. The place was very spacious, with the bedrooms (great beds!) and two baths downstairs, which provided privacy and quiet, and a half bath on the main level for convenience. Even though the house is right on the road, we never heard a thing in the bedrooms; they are well buffered from street noise by the way the house is built. In fact, come to think of it, we rarely noticed any street noise even though it's a busy route. We had everything we needed to cook in, relax (thanks for the DVDs!) and savor the beauty of Vermont. Dealing with the owners was not only prompt and thorough, but delightful. I really felt we were staying in a friend's home. Leslie was available for anything we needed, which proved to be nothing, since the home and the instructions are so complete. I cannot think of one thing I would suggest as a change or improvement. This place is great and we will definitely be back. Thank you, Leslie!
Two real bedrooms at the property with nice beds. Great location within Manchester for hiking, shopping, restaurants, other hotels, Manchester Country Club. Kitchen had plenty of room for cooking and eating. Place was clean and simple. Despite being on a main road, it felt very quiet. TV and internet worked well. We had a dog with us and she very much enjoyed the fenced yard.
No complaints about this house. Perfect for a family or couples getaway.
Owner was very responsive and accommodating.
We had a great time at this lovely Manchester home. It was so nice to be able to bring the pups to enjoy vacation with us. This home is very nice with a great deck, view and convenient to all Manchester has to offer. The owners are very nice to work with if any issues/questions arise. We hope to be back soon!
The house was great for the two of us and our two dogs, but it's big enough for many more people! Our golden retrievers loved the fenced-in yard, and we all enjoyed the deck with a mountain view. The king-sized bed in the master was very comfortable, everything was clean, and there were plenty of supplies - toilet paper, paper towels, towels, etc. In the main room, the large couches were ideal for hanging out, reading and watching TV. Also, the owners are nice and responsive. Finally, the house is conveniently located not far from all the restaurants and shops in the downtown area of Manchester Center, which made for an easy, relaxing few days.
The house was very well appointed and convenient to exploring southern Vermont. We would definitely recommend this property. The owners were also very easy to work with.
